Bottle. Black pour, with a brown/white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted and hoppy. Tastes a bit weird, has caramalised roasted malty notes of a Schwarz, but also a bitter and slightly fruity finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Surprised tot see a black tipel. A dark beer with a stable beige head. Subtle aroma of burned malts. In the flavour you find the same burned malts, some chocolate notes, but a bit lacking in body.(Bottle 33cl)

Dark bit hazy amber color with big head. Aroma fruity, raisins, and some yeast, bit roasted. Flavor is fruits, berries, yeast, bitter. Tasty!

Extremely dark mahogany brown with a big old light khaki covering.
Nose is bitter roasted notes, spice, earthy cocoa rub, liqourice, tar.
Taste comprises earthy tones, light metallic wash, root liqourice, spice, brown bread, bitter fruit notes, light trace of pine and hoppy twangs,
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough BS, not to sweet and sticky.

Bottle. Creamy off.white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours black with medium off-white head. Aroma is breazy chocolate and roast malt. Taste is bitter dark chocolate, berries, slight sour.. interesting but a touch too sour and bitter for me.

Draught at Cafe Rose Red. Clear ruby brown with a large beige head. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, English toffee, dates, raisins, prunes, Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, complex on the palate, long slightly sweet finish. Taste is raisins, dates, prunes, brown sugar, hint of anise.

Big dark beer with thin, light beige head and dark bronze colour. Aroma of passion fruit, liquorice, coffee grounds, cherries, chocolate, vanilla, old ’jenever’. Dark fruity taste with lots of spiciness (liquorice), creamy palate, sweetish candi sugar, deep maltiness, bitterish hop finish with light roasted maltiness and some gin-like warming alcohol.

Bottle 33cl. Opaque dark chestnut brown, one finger frothy beige head, recedes after a while to a thick layer, fair lacing; complex aroma of sweet malts, dark fruit (raisin, date), yeasty, lemon/lime, orange peel, light licorice note (zoete drop); taste moderate sweet, slightly bitter, with light fruity sweet and sour impressions in the background; full body, oily to creamy texture, velvet-like mouthfeel, soft carbonation; finish mild bittersweet, bit roasty, fruity undertones. Very interesting and very nice and very tasty beer.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with copper head. Nose is on sour cherries. Aroma is on bitter and astringent red fruit notes, dominant of strawberies, dry body, tannic, lot of roasted notes. Long bitter and roasted aftertaste.
