Zwarte/bruine kleur met een witte schuimkraag, ruikt bitter en naar een pale ale, verder is het zoet en bitter.

Bottle. Plum aroma, pours a deep ruby-off black. Soft, smooth and sweet palate, with late chocolate and sweet sherry in the finish. Full bodied but wuthout the strong alcohol kick I expected. Great stuff.

Foffern (1214) - BodÝ, NORWAY - OCT 7, 2012
Bottle at Belgian Beer Weekend, Brussels. Pours a clear dark brown colour with nearly no head at all. Fruity aromas with dried fruits, oranges and wort. Some of the same stuff in the sweet flavour but with more dired fruit, some leather and brown sugar. Has a slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. This is a fresh and interesting ale but without any carbonation or head. I was told this would be fixed for the next batch. Worth a try anyway.
