Bottle 33cl bought at store in Bodegraven, Holland.

Decent winterbier, but below average. Too strong alcohol present, taste is ok but overall it’s a little unbalanced.

This beer looks pretty nice and smells pretty good also. Taste was a bit alcoholic and that ruined it a bit.

Bottle. Amberish pour with an ok white head. Malts, sweet notes and syrup in the aroma. Hints of malts and some syrup in the taste. Overall sweet notes. Could use some more body/aftertaste. Anyway, an ok brew.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Hazy brown beer, small off white head. Smooth semi dry palate. Rich malt with an obvious marmite streak. Aniseed and a whisper of smoke in the finish. Not awful but the marmite is a bit much and the boooze obvious. 2.7

Bottle that has been in the cellar for a couple of years. Smooth creamy malt, nicely balanced mellow dried fruits. Smooth finish. No marmite and no obvious booze just a whisper of spice. Much better!

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 Bottle @ home. Chestnut colored brew, with fair off-white head, a little layer remaining & some lacing. Aroma’s of red fruit and sugar. Flavor is fruity and fairly sweet. Lots of fruit & spices in the finish. Not bad, but I didn’t like it much (I remember liking it much more when it was still called Leckere Winterbier, but that was long tima ago).

bottle, courtesy of Bierkoning. Cloudy amber-brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty, raisins, caramel, some nice floral hops. Pleasantly spicy with hints of herbs and spices.

Murky amber with a thin white head. Sweet ale, walnut syrupy. A bit watery for the strength.
