Murky amber with a thin white head. Sweet ale, walnut syrupy. A bit watery for the strength.

Unclear brew, almost no head... Nice taste and aroma, lots of things going on in there: chocolat, caramel, dark fruits, hops... starts out sweet and ends enormously bitter, very nice... my only complaint is about it’s body, i find this beer a bit to light, to lively also for it’s dark taste... one of the great dutch beers nonetheless

From tap@’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Dense sand-colored head. Body is hazy dark copper. Nutty malt aroma with notes of marzipan and mild spices. Also a fresh whiff from the yeast. Lightly spiced malt flavor. Medium full, medium sweet. A fine fruitiness too, raisins and dates. Noticable alcohol, not disturbing. A gentle spicy bitterness beneath. Texture is thick and oily. Warming, malty finish. A straightforward and well-crafted Belgian Strong.

Draft at Arendsnest. Dark mildly hazy copper with a foamy white head. Fresh aromas of caramel and piquant spice. Medium body; foamy carbonation. Suggests a touch of chocolate or cola. Herby bitter finish. Suggests melon somewhat.

Light brown coloured beer with small off-white head and lots of carbonation. Malty bit chcolate aroma. Full bit creamy and sparkling palate. Finish is roasted bitter with alcohol and dry notes.
