COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thanks to the Australian Galaxy hops a refreshing, very fruity and complex thirst quencher. Totally addictive! Quote from Derek Walsh :- It’s not brewed to follow a style. I.B.A. (Inter-natural Blond Ale) uses 3 organic malts from Germany and a hint of sugar combined with German Saphir-, American Cascade- and Tasmanian Galaxy hops (no dry-hopping) and American yeast to create a hybrid between Bitter Blond, Abbey Blond and a May Bock. With 30 EBU’s and and high degree of attenuation it’s refreshing, dry and has a hop-fruity complexity.

Draft at In De Wildeman in Amsterdam on a short layover, a terrific last beer of the trip. Nice rich orange with big foam. Perfectly delicious beer, crisp and very balanced. Lots of hop flavor but restrained. Some soapy yeast notes. Gorgeous.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark yellow to orange colour with a medium white head. Smells lovely hoppy, malts, fresh. Not very agressive. Tastes hoppy, quite fruity (pineapple, grapefruit, apricot, peach), fresh, slightly bitter.. Quite an amazing beer. Lovely soft ipa-ish. Medium body, soft carbo. Quite a surprise!

Bottle. Golden color. Pineapple and lychee in both aroma and flavor. Grassy, slightly oily hopbitterness. Some medecinal notes in the aftertaste. Certainly not bad.

30 cl bottle @ home. Golden blonde color, slightly hazy. White head, quickly receding. Aroma’s in the nose: sweet fruits, caramel, slightly buttery; retronasal: fruity hops and also a little buttery. Flavor is medium sweet with some fruity hoppiness. Medium bodied. Finishes a bit dry and with a just a hint of bitterness. Quite nice.

Bottle, 300 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6.7% Light orange golden colour on the body, which by the way is hazy. One finger of white head, with low retention, light lacing on the glass. Nice hoppy aroma, very fruity, with mango and tropical fruit notes. Taste is also fruity, quite bitter at first, aftertaste is also bitter, a bit stronger than the initial bitterness. Hops, fruit notes again with mango, some butter, citrus and floral notes. Pretty good. Nice mouthfeel, thick enough on the body, good carbonation and really smooth on the palate. Very good beer, I think De Leckere should keep those specialy made beers on their assortiment, so much better than what they now have.
