3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - APR 20, 2008

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bullit (3285) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 16, 2008
Tap @ Kafe Belgie. Golden-orange hazy colour. Small off-white head. Aroma is fruity. Flavour has some orange and citrus. Fresh and drinkable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 JorisPPattyn (6728) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 7, 2008
Head gone in secs; beer colour of slightly hazy pineapple juice. Nose as from sourish grain (sour mash?), bit spicy and perfumey. Coriandr-ish, but no coriander used, it seems. Terribly clashing flavours; liquorice, crude bitteringhops, again coriander (?), citrussy-sourish. The beer desperately seeks balance, that is totally absent. Bit burning MF. Medium bodied at best. I have to say that the former owners’ De Leckere beers were more to my taste. Maybe they sell better these days, but it won’t be to the likes of me...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 altonbrownd (3581) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 30, 2008
Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy grapefruit colour body. Slight amount of foam. Citrus and grapefruit nose. Prickly moutfeel. Taste of citrus, grapefruit. Sweet and bitter. Quite citrusy for a Tripel. Hoppy. Good enough.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 caesar (3748) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 30, 2008
Bottled. Hazy yellow color, short frothy lacing. Aroma of some citrus, slight hop, hint of coriander indeed. Bit dry and crisp taste, slight citrus again, slight bitter and slight sweet. Ok balance, certainly for a beer of De Leckere, which usually are a bit unbalanced. Quite ok.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FatPhil (6207) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 8, 2008
Draught (Arendsnest, Amsterdam)
Pale yellow, hazy, tiny head. Dry and dusty hop aroma, coriander. Sweet and a little alcoholic. Overripe fruits and more coriander in the taste.
Note - I am sure this is not the same as the previous ’Uteregs Blond’ = ’De Leckere Blond’, as doing a web search for this beer yielded only stories about the beer being launched in late 2007, and Uteregs blond dates from 2004. And this certainly felt much punchier than 5.2%
