2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted this beer on the Bockbeer festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands, on draft. The Leckere had some problems, but now the company is back to brewing again. I was surely not disappointed with this Bockbeer. Good appearance. It had a nice fruity flavour which was very interesting. Unfortunately there was some acidity in the beer. Still acceptable, but probably not meant. The beer was now probably still very fresh, but after a week I guess the beer would be sour.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy reddish brown. Small white head leaves a thin film and some large bubbles. Roasted malts, nuts, caramel, some vegetables, roasted eggplant maybe, a hint of fruits. Not too much there. Taste is sweet, with a bitter touch at the end. Medium body, slick texture and very dry. Feels very strange. Almost sour finish. Not great, but drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Flat and watery bock beer, not very interesting. At least, it’s not as afwully sweet as the bocks from the big Dutch brewers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Warm redb brown colour, transparent with no carbonation and a foamy weak head.
Salty citric wooden smell with hints of toffee and leather. Some subtle coffee.
Taste is strong; fizzy salty sweet toffee-coffeeness. Quite tart, more like a stout than a bock. Bitter finish, very refreshing.

30cl bottle at home. Clear dark brown with a small off-white head. Very sweet with some bitterness. Medium body with ditto carbonation. Bread, roasted malts and caramel. A tad too malty, but ok bock.
