3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light bodied (would like a heavier palate) with a moderately tangy acidty, overall more dry than lemony. The moderate cherry is good and harmonizes or even gets slightly lost in the sour-dry and lightly herbal tastes.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 mL bottle. Hazy purple with a thick film of pink head. Sour cherries and a hint of cider vinegar in the nose. The flavour isn’t as big, sour, oaky, or really even as cherry-flavoured as you’d expect. The cherries certainly seem to be real, though, not syrup or extract. This beer is very drinkable for the abv.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
LCBO bottle. Pours cloudy bright red with pink head. Nose is sour cherry and vinegar., white wine, some funk and some herbal hops and leather, earthy notes. Tastes like a triple mixed with berries. Tart cherry, some bitterness on the back end fades quick to a mild, sour finish. Really easy drinking for 8.5%, and still complex, but subtle. This is beer for thought.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a maroon colour with large, lasting pink head. Aroma is tart cherry, oak, leather and a bit of vinegar. Flavour is big on cherry and also has an assertive vinegar note, as well as more subtle oak and leather character. Carbonation on the livelier side. Interesting one.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle from LCBO @ Summerhill in Toronto. 8.5% Alc./Vol. Pours a cloudy pinkish red colour with two finger of pink head. Aroma of sour cherries and some raspberries. Taste is sour in the beginning and matches the aroma with notes of rhubarb, and cranberries. Finishes a bit dry and hoppy which reminds you that you're not drinking a carbonated fruit juice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle.
Aroma is fairly cherry forward with some sour and sweet, candy cherry notes. Some light oak notes with light acidity and citrus notes. A light barnyard mustiness. Faintly medicinal.
Pours a hazy, deep purplish-red with a light brown hue and a moderately small, somewhat thin, slightly pink head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and medium small legs.
Flavor is moderately acidic upfront with some light citrus and tropical fruit notes. Moderate sour cherry notes with some lighter candy cherry character mid palate. Medium light bitterness with some light oak notes. A hint of alcohol. A hint of mustiness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a pretty interesting sour cherry beer. Good cherry character with some light oak notes. Acidity is well balanced. Some sweetness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle [second of a De Leite series kindly delivered by bartlebier - I’m very thankful!]. Clear crimson colour with small to average, frothy to macropore, diminishing, pinkish head. Spicy, tart-ish aroma, morello cherry notes on oak and leather. Taste is dry, moderately sour, minimally tannic, notes of sour cherry, hints of wood, some vinegar spiciness. Compact, low-key, unresisting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle. Pours a nice looking clear red shade. Pink-tinged head. Aroma is like many good Belgian krieks. Taste is nicely tart, on the cusp of acidity but not fully there. Balanced and drinkable. Nice and refreshing fruit beer.

On tap at Gambrinus Bruges . One of my favoritestuff so far on this trip. Sour! Vinegar with a touch of kriek sweetness. Fabulous beer.
