Very good pink head, leaving lace over clear ruby beer. Smoked cherry nose. Not overpowering, but intriguing. Like old cherry skins on alcohol. Nice, dry, if not sour cherryflavour - but neither artificial. MF has a lipsmacking sourishness then, that is refreshing. Quite some (fruit?)slickness, grist; long fruity aftertaste. Very good non-lambic kriek. Misses maybe just a tad sourishness in order to appeal to greatness. Why not try, and recreate the Zottegemse Kriek from Crombé times...?

330 ml bottle. Pours cloudy as ruby red as can be, with a tiny off-white head. Cassis nose with some almond and cherries and subtle red forest fruit jam notes. Sweet sour body, quite a round body, nice fruity aftertaste. Taste is clearly cherry (not really the kriek variant). Very nice beer.

Bottle (75cl): Shared, half of the bottle was served at room temperature in my Duvel glass: Medium sized light pink head. Beautiful hazy dark pink red beer. Aromas of red fruit, wild yeast, wood, flowers, cinnamon, vanilla and some yoghurt and tart fruits. Flavours of red fruit, tart, wood, yoghurt, wild yeast, acidic, beautiful beer! Aftertaste is tart, red fruit, yeast, some wood and light acidic. Low carbo, drytart mouthfeel, close to full bodied. Damn tasty!

Backlog rating. 33cl bottle shared at Chriso’s May tasting, London. It pours a rich red/ruby color with a medium pink-ish head. Aroma is medium sweet and lightly acidic, with notes of tart charries, wild berries and raspberry jam. Taste is medium sweet and medium acidic, with more cherries, jam, light funk and white wine, light lemon juice in the tart finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very tasty and not overly-sweet, exceeded expectations

Bottle (330 ml). Hazy red with a medium bubbly pinkish head and little lacing. Aroma is of sweet cherries, oak, vanilla, leafy notes, medicinal and alcohol notes. Taste is of sweet cherries and it’s moderately sour with cherries notes, oak, vanilla, quite leafy presence, a tad medicinal and alcohol. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Fruity finish. Lingering sweetness. A tad warming too. Decent Sour Ale with cherries. Not super complex. A tad too much alcohol.

Bottle shared with Tom at hotel tasting. Hazy deep red pour with thin white head. Aroma is really leafy, medicinal, some aspirin. Taste is fruity, boozy extremely leafy. Palate is heavy. Meh.
