Very good pink head, leaving lace over clear ruby beer. Smoked cherry nose. Not overpowering, but intriguing. Like old cherry skins on alcohol. Nice, dry, if not sour cherryflavour - but neither artificial. MF has a lipsmacking sourishness then, that is refreshing. Quite some (fruit?)slickness, grist; long fruity aftertaste. Very good non-lambic kriek. Misses maybe just a tad sourishness in order to appeal to greatness. Why not try, and recreate the Zottegemse Kriek from Crombé times...?

330ml bottle [second of a De Leite series kindly delivered by bartlebier - I’m very thankful!]. Clear crimson colour with small to average, frothy to macropore, diminishing, pinkish head. Spicy, tart-ish aroma, morello cherry notes on oak and leather. Taste is dry, moderately sour, minimally tannic, notes of sour cherry, hints of wood, some vinegar spiciness. Compact, low-key, unresisting.

330ml bottle. Pours a nice looking clear red shade. Pink-tinged head. Aroma is like many good Belgian krieks. Taste is nicely tart, on the cusp of acidity but not fully there. Balanced and drinkable. Nice and refreshing fruit beer.

bottle. lush dark potent cherry fruit. soft leather. light vinous dry oak. red semi sweet strawberries, raspberry, cherry wine. soft musty dusty cellar. well balanced all around with a pleasantly dry mouthfeel complimented by semi sweet berry fruit. fun wine, fruit juice, beer combo. not much in the way of tripel character, which is just fine. more of an impy fruit forward sour cherry brew. tame.
