Very good pink head, leaving lace over clear ruby beer. Smoked cherry nose. Not overpowering, but intriguing. Like old cherry skins on alcohol. Nice, dry, if not sour cherryflavour - but neither artificial. MF has a lipsmacking sourishness then, that is refreshing. Quite some (fruit?)slickness, grist; long fruity aftertaste. Very good non-lambic kriek. Misses maybe just a tad sourishness in order to appeal to greatness. Why not try, and recreate the Zottegemse Kriek from Crombé times...?

33 cl bottle. Deep ruby red with a minimal head. Floral and fruity in the nose; an acidic touch, too. This latter also conjures up red cabbage and beetroot - or is this just because of the colour? Smooth, softly acidic with aromas of apples, cherries, almonds and a gentle yet enriching touch of hops and walnuts in the aftertaste. Out of curiosity, I tried some Gorgonzola with this one, but it didn’t turn out to be the best combination.

Huge sour cherry nose on top of oak and slight acidic. Nice deep beet red in color with light magnta foam. Light crisp and dry. Sparkling with horse blanket and woody tannin finish

Big thanks to Matteo. Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Pink / red clouded coloured pour with a lasting pink frothy head. Aroma is nice fresh cerry, musty and funk and light acid. Flavour is dark cherry, sweet and tart, musty and horsey funk.

Bottle at the chriso May 2014 tasting - London. Thanks to Matteo! Pours clear, red-pink with a foamy head. The nose has bright cherry and jammy berries. Light to medium sweet with mellow tartness, slight funk, more vibrant cherry character. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Crisp on the finish with moderate sweetness, juicy cherry, light apple, good and fresh tart kick. Very nice. Drinks well for the strength. Lovely.

33cl bottle, Geers. Cherry Ox blood with a mauve plum shine. Nose of plum pits, burnt oak, mulled wine. Taste is deep cherry marred by bitter pit, made more aggressive by a distinct balsamic, harsh lactobacillus note and cloved mulled wine spice. Considerably less subtle beer than many other De Leite brews, even while attempting something brash like a triple kriek. Will revisit aged.

Courtesy of Jaghana. Couleur cerise rouge trouble, petite mousse blanche. Super nez cerise, fruité, fut de vin, aigre, vineuse comme oud bruin . Gout fruité cerise griotte aigres, fut de vin, superbe aigreur et bon sucre. Bonne aigreur puis tanin de vin en fin de bouche. On sent a peine les 8.5 c°. Magnifique!

Bottle 33cl, kindly given by Bartlebier thanks. A cloudy red bier with low head. Nose is intence on sour cherry notes, dry, tart, lactic, tannic, light diacetyl, lot of red fruits, light plum, not as dry as a lambic, slightly vinous. Finish has burnt cherry notes, still acid, very nice.
