3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, 330ml at Cafe Rose Red, Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium. Clouded gold with white head. There are sweet Belgian yeasty notes from the start here, pear drops then a sharper, spicey, lemon citrus character shows through. A little confusing but a reasonable beer all the same.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 33cl, a cloudy golden beer with huge head and extremely long retention. Nose is on belgian yeast and lemon. Aroma is on sweet malt, fresh grassy and peppery hops, fresh yeast too, light lemon and grapefruit, astringency, very classic but no more to say. Clean bitterness at the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Pours pale gold with a huge white rocky head. Spicy hop aroma. Sweet taste with a good, bitter background. Sappy malt, pine resin tastes, citrus fruit and a dry finish. Avoids the cliche Belgian, sweet style. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lot of spices in the aroma and in the first part of the taste. Second part is more classic, and leaves a dry sensation in the mouth.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rather strong farmhouse aroma. Not that pleasant. In the mouth it tastes better and a tad bitter. A bit spicy.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle: picked up in De Bierboom, Brugge in Dec 2015. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home in Jan 2016. No sediment left the bottle, so I got an almost clear golden bodied beer with a full and deep white head. The aroma is yeasty and also metallic in nature, with a fruity base. Taste is also slightly metallic with again mixed fruits and some yeast traces. A bit dry for my palate and leaning towards sour at times, again not my thing. Different and interesting, but not for me: scored objectively.
