330ml bottle [Merci barman ’t le bier!]. Slightly cloudy, orangey, pale golden colour with huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. With opening the bottle and at the latest from pouring, a bretty aroma with typical sweet-ish bubblegum and funky touch fills the room; the nose is nevertheless dominated by citrusy fruity hoppy flavours, notes of lemon, grapefruit, nectarine, mirabelle, peach peel, the bretty notes remain present in subordinated attitude, additionally some peppery spicyness. Taste is slightly bitter hoppy, citrusy, hints of lemon and grapefruit, funky undertones, some peach peel, a peppery spicy touch; slightly prickling, refreshing carbonation with bridled liveliness. Though quite complex, very drinkable due to its excellent balance.

Aroma from the bottle indicated the presence of hop in the beer. In the glass, it was more about Belgian Ale or season. For the taste, it’s great. It’s kind of the beginning of a gueuse like beer directly followed by the bitterness of the (Belgian) hop. Don’t be fooled by the label on the bottle, which doesn’t sell dreams at all, it is a nice find definitly worth the try.

Nice hop aroma upon opening the bottle. Fizzy head quickly receding. Soft first lambic impression in the mouth then it turns a slight orval like feeling. Light but full of flavours.

(bottle 0.33l/ half of bottle) Trade with Countbeer, thanks. Clear, golden colour. White, huge, slowly falling, creamy head. Very good lacing. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, a bit oily texture. Aroma: Yesty, esters, frutiy, floral, spicy, soft perfume. Taste: Moderate malty sweetness, pale malts, spicy, moderate strong, pleasant bitterness. Not bad blond.

Bottle (33cl):Served in a Chouffe glass at 13 degrees Celsius: Loud plop, nice gusher were ther wild yeast meets the nose. Big creamy head. Hazy orange body. Aromas of wikd yeast, wood, hops, malts, herbs, fruit, light cream, light sweet, some flowers and a delicious funkyness. Flavours of wild yeast, strong bitters, funk, herbs, light wood and some fruit, malts, grains and green tones (all 3 easily mixed in the beer). Nice and quite easy drinker but good bitter! Would love to drink this at festivals or such... Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, herbs, wild yeast, some hints of funk, fruit and wood. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Delicious stuff!

Belgian blonde inspired by the World War I commemorations. Sticky, lacing, off-white, dense but thin head over a deep golden blonde beer, clear but hazy with deposit. Aroma of freshly cut orange peel, bread dough, red apple, unripe peach, pineapple, banana, grass, straw, cake and quite a lot of iron. Fruity, estery onset, sweetish fruitiness, yeasty with smooth mouthfeel, typical ’velvety’ feel of oatmeals like a downtuned Tripel Karmeliet, metallic ’zing’, phenolic spiciness in the finish along with grassy and leafy hop bitterness. Quite well-balanced, but the metallic feel bothers me a bit.
