Brewed from water, malt, candy-malt, hops, candy-suggar and yeast. Brown coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a large but diminishing creamy off-white head. Roasted, malty and caramel aroma with some yeasty ripe-fruity hints. Medium to full palate. Finish is ligth bitter, candy suggar sweet malty hints with a longer yeasty like banana-fruity unfermented ending with a slight alcoholic hint. Long finish, but probably to young to drink.

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Hazy chocolate brown, small head. Lightly nutty, mild coffee. Dryish, medium bodied, nutty with a slight tartness. Grains and cocoa. Short salty finish.

Bottle: Cloudy,"dirty"amber coloured, small foamy layer, toasted malt, fruits, caramel and some nuts in the nose; sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; increasing tartness/bitterness in the slightly vinous and caramelly finish . Not the worst Dubbel…

Pours an unclear and dark reddish brown beer with a weak white head. The aroma is malt, caramel and berries. The flavor follows the nose with additional sweetness. The palate is sweetness. Overall a beer below average.

Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.

brune foncée, col café au lait/ocre.
Arôme de malt caramel avec pas mal de fruits noirs, levure terreuse et épices, le tout avec un soupçon de poudre de chocolat.
En bouche, bière légère par ses 6% mais plein de saveurs. Une belle levure de double d’abbaye dans le style belge avec un palais fruité noirs mélangeant prunes, figues. Malt grillé et chocolaté avec des notes de toffee et une pointe liquoreuse. Sur la fin une fine amertume se fait présente. Belle bière qui par moment peu paraitre trop légère mais reste pleine de surprises.

Bottle @ Benzai. Red colour with a small white head. Smells barley, hay and barnyard. Tastes fresh and not too sweet, which i feared a bit. Great carbo, good body. Decent beer.
