sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Aug 14, 2009 (Bottled) Clear golden with a medium, firm and lacy, lasting head. Aroma of grassy hops, honeyish malt, some floweriness. Honey-malty flavor with sweet sugar presence evident, some grassy hoppiness, hints of vegetables. Light to medium body, pretty soft carbonation. Alcohol clearly present, although not burning. Strangely this feels like most of the malt had been replaced with sugar - but still no sugar is mentioned in the ingredients. Maybe it’s just the slightly alcoholic feel, and quite high residual sweetness. thebeertourist (2753), Oslo, Norway Jul 11, 2009 Bottle from De Bierloods, Adegem. Pours golden with a healthy head. Fruity, sharp lemons aroma. Fruity, but with solid bitterness as well. Noticeable alcohol. Dry finish. Not bad. Ober (1165), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands Jun 11, 2009 A clear yellow colored beer, with a big foamy white head. The aroma of malts, fruits and some spices. The taste is fresh sparkling. Flavors of hop bitter and malty sweets. Fruits like citrus and orange. The aftertaste is bittersweet. BartC (398), Lichtaart, Belgium Feb 3, 2009 Blond beer with a nice white head. Hoppy aroma and flavor. The first brew I tasted had a lot of citrus aroma. Brew 2 is far less bitter and more an average good hopped beer. Off-white, rocky to creamy head. Nice looks. Aroma of orange, hops, citrus, banana (isoamylacetate), ... mild, but bit compelx. Moderately (powdery/dusty/hoppy) bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Some cardboard. Bit unpleasant, but ok. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 26, 2008 Huge, dense, off-white head over golden beer. Vanilla, sweet with white candi sugar, bit lactic malts – and quite some caramelly alcohol. Faint aroma of (unripe) exotic fruit. Alcohol & caramel dominating the taste. Quite some restsugars for a triple-like beer. Harsh sugars; warming up, spices as coriander. Bit fizzy, very slick, medium bodied, alcoholwarming. Too slanted towards alcohol & caramel. I wonder what might better it – lower fermentation temperatures? Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Dec 21, 2008 Bottle, 33 cl. Thanx to Vacas.
Almost clear golden color, with a good white head.
Aroma hops, bit spice and yeast.
Medium body.
Taste little sweet, fruit touch, is good hops, bitterness.
And a low alcoholic end.
Very good.
