UPDATED: SEP 4, 2009 Cask at The New Oxford in Salford. Cloudy yellowy gold with a decent fluffy white head. Sweet and fresh tasting. Notes once again for me are terrible as I was very drunk. Enjoyed it though, very nice. Re=rate - not as nice on second (more sober tasting). Ok but lowered the numbers.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Hazy golden with a tall and lively off-white head. Sweetish fruity nose. Quite full-bodied with fruit and yeast and a high malt sweetness. Discreet bitterness. 100908

Bottle 33cl @ La Mort Subite, Alrincham, Cheshire England WA14 4DN.
Light unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very nice one of the very nice Achilles beers ;o)) (280708)

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Draught Orange beer with slight haze under yellowish head, leaving rings of lace. Citrussy, little point of whtie sugar and just a little spiciness, and a whiff of liqueurish, sweetish alcohol. Sweet, very liqueurish flavour, and despite the quite sweet taste, pretty well-attenuated. Apricots flavour, warming up markedly almondy. Bit spritzy, dry, medium body. Nice variation on the Serafijn tripel (mainly different malts), fairly sweet, but inviting.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a two finger thick white head. Aroma is mild spiced and vague yeasty. Sweet caramel malty flavoured with a mild spice note. Classic yeasty note. Goes into a slight phenolic yeasty and dry finish.

Bottle, 8%. Weak wheaty aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Very small white head. Slightly sweet flavour, sugary fruitiness. Distinct alcohol feel and flavour. The finish is quite rough.

A Mes rate: Bottle at La Mort Subite, Altrincham.
Bright gold with an excellent white head. Clear Serafijn character with some good sweet yeast, candy sugar, bread, fresh orange and some lovely alcohol notes. A bloody good tripel and the best Serafijn beer I have had.
