pitch black color, creamy dark brown color, oak, bourbon, Black Forest cake, smoke . Very big. Lots of dark cherries. The body is not that heavy, but well balanced. A touch sweet, never over the top. Very well put together. smooth and rounded.

Nip bottle. Lovely bubbly head on black. Nose of charcoal, chocolate, blackberry, wood, cherries. Chocolaty malt flavor, very nice mouth feel, oak, wood, berry, not so roasty. Rather light, actually strangely light bodied but full. Good stuff.

Big black forest and fruit of the forest nose. Lightish body but with a beguiling smooth texture. Rich and fruity with a hit whack of chocolate. Mmmm nice.

Beautiful aroma of coffee, molasses and apple. These things are also in the flavor. Contrary to other Imperials this one doesn’t burn a hole in the stomach, a very good thing. Great to see the sediment left in the bottle. Superb beer to start the year with.

Bottle kept in cellar for two years. When opened it almost gushed over my table, luckily my cat-like reflexes were fast enough to pour the pitch black liquid into the glass. Huge, tanned head builds up and aroma of sweet molasses, roasted malts and wood fills the area. Flavour is intense sweet with a boozy character. Very easy to drink, despite the heavy abv. This was very nice to drink...

Thx. to Dennoman for this one. Remember wanting one of these back when it came out, 18 cl. old Molen style nip bottle passed around in the train on the way to Borefts. Sweet licorice, smoked malt, some barrel, still hop in the back, lighter mellow dark malt, quite bitter in the back, coffee, dark sugar, cocao, rather sweet in the beginning for a while, tight, thin carb. Quite an interesting combination of the different breweries style - neat stuff dude.

(18 cl bottle from Studenterhuset Aarhus) Pours black with creamy, two-finger, toffeee head. Good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of oak and a hint of iodine. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation with a full body and a warming, roasted finish. Taste follows the nose but lends more prominence to the alcohol and a slightly ascorbic edge from the roasted malt. Generally a more subtle version of De Molens barrel aged stouts and thus more easily drinkable.
