3.5 years old sick chocolat and very strong espresso... caramel... lots of port...dried berries? alcohol (in taste) and some more complex boozyness... soft carbs and an extremly oily texture... very dark finish, porty and boozy... look awesome, medium big red brown head, clear dark thick liquid... sick sick porter...

Huge thanks to MeadMe for sending this to me. Pours a solid black with a decent sized bubbly mocha head that persists forever. Aromas of chocolate and roast with hints of earth burnt molasses, dark fruit and caramel with just a touch of cardboard. The flavor is rich sweet chocolate and burnt sugar with a solid earthy flavor to counter. Light smokey molasses and burnt flavors. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. I didn’t enjoy this right away, but as I sipped on it for a while it opened quite a bit with some fruit molasses and burnt qualities. Nice brew.

Vollmundiger kaffeeartiger Malzantrunk mit Karamellnoten. Espresso, weich, intensiv. Die Malzigkeit ist sich im weiteren Verlauf führend, spritzig, gut. 11/12/12/13/12/12

75cl bottle shared at a tasting. Pitch black with amazing tan head - lasts the distance and looks superb. Huge chocolate on the nose, thick coffee and molasses. Dark fruit in abundance giving some sweetness to offset the heavy roasted maltiness. Taste is a revelation: like roasted silk. Man. Full bodied coffee, luxurious dark chocolate, figs, plums, light vanilla and a touch of vinous character. Wonderful balance. So full bodied and velvety. Slightly acrid coffee bitterness to finish, but delicious chocolate in the aftertaste too. Stunning stuff.

Bottle send to me by Borresteijn. Thank a brunch Rob! Points jet black with a lasting creamy beige head. The aroma is high roasted, some tar, licorice, chocolate and light coffee. The flavor is chocolate, roasted malt, ripe fruit, tobacco, tar and licorice. Very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by someone at Jackie O’s in 2011 or early 2012. Pour very dark brown to black with a hint of purple at the edges and a thin khaki film. The aroma and flavor have a dark roasted malt, coffee, char, dark fruit and oak. Viscous pour, very little carbonation, some earthy bitterness to the finish. Solid.
