RBESG Grand Tasting. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of licorice, with some ash and port wine. Sweet roasted flavour of ash and charcoal, a little too much

Smak och doft av choklad, vanilj, ekfat. Komplex och välbalanserad. Lagom söt och med en bra beska.

15-MAR-2013, bottle @Sonni, @Ulkløbben tasting. Cellared appr. 3 years by Sonni. Black with brown, high lasting head. Aroma is soy, malt, hard roasted, chocolate, alcohol. Taset is soy, malt, sweet stout-stuff. A bit oxidized. Finish a little malty tartness. Sweet, full body. Wow.

Pitch black colour, no head. Aroma of coffee, molasses, roasted malts, vanilla. Some aged beer aromas. Sweet flavour, light bitter, quite a bit of coffee. Finish bitter coffee, caramel. Light cloying.
Thanks for opening this one, the beer does show it’s character. I like proper aged beers, and this one is still great.
(From 66cL bottle at Colin’s 2nd Tuesday tasting @ De Molen. One of 666 bottles, according to the label.)

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting. Poured a crude oil like colour with absolutely no life at all. The aroma is rich and alcoholic. The flavour follows the aroma and is über rich. It’s almost like syrup, with bags of oak and fruity alcohol. You can almost chew this beer. A super example that other brewers need to follow.

At De Molen tasting. Dark brown color with a slight deep dark red to purple glow coming through. No head. Smell and taste malts, alcohol, slightly sweet, roastyness and bitter. Nice, though I think it has been better when it was just brewed.

Bottle shared with Frank and Bill, received from andrejes in amsterdam via trade. Big thanks to Andre for this one. Pours a deep black, aromas and taste of cracker jack, coffee, toffee, mollases, light peat, smoked malt, burnt sugar, and hops Pretty hoppy for the style, bitter hop and coffee finish. Medium carbonation and body.
