U.S. Meets Europe. A collaboration with De Molen Brouwerij and Hoppin’ Frog Brewery. Kilos of American hops to add a crazy twist to this European-style ale. The fruity, spicy flavors of this malty Double Saison are nicely complimented by an abundance of late and Dry-hopping with the finest American hops. Bottled on Jul 12th. 2012

Bottled @ Beertemple, 9 months old. Slightly hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma is quite spicy, after 9 months the saison yeast comes out much better than when fresh. Hops are a bit less and the malt base is balanced a bit more. It feels like a super-charged version of the Jaar & Dag now. Still quite some malt and a little alcohol to make it a big sipper. Much better now the yeast comes through.

Bottle, 75cl - Hazy amber beer with a large head. Aroma is fruity with notes of spices, peaches, candyfloss, oranges and dried fruit. Flavor is fruity with notes of oranges, candyfloss, dried fruit and spices. Wow, fantastic spicy beer. Lots of nice sweetness, yet very balanced thanks to the enormous amounts of spiciness in it..

I love the aroma of this beer although not a typical saison. For me it is the Nick Cave Wild Roses Saison. Saison pours out with a minimal head. It has a amber color, a bit dark for a saison with a cloudy appearance. This bottle smell like wild roses and tastes like ’RoosVicee’. A Dutch drink made of the fruit of wild roses. Very sweet for a saison. Creamy and sticky palate with a soft carbonation. I like!

22. Pours a crystal clear and deeply rubied medium amber with a loose and creamy light tan head. Big lemony confused nose; lots of citric hops and bright tangy esters climbing all over each other to see who gets top bunk. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tangy lemons and citric notes on the mid palate, along with some reedy, heavy, overly caramelized malt sugars. This is just a big bully of a saison, and saisons were never really meant to bully anybody.

TET (1565) - FINLAND - MAR 16, 2013
A reddish brown beer with a medium, creamy and blond head. Aroma is tropical fruity, lots of fructose, peaches, hint of spices, overally the strong fruityness is dominate. Taste of fruits, peaches, tropical fruits, lots of fructose, some bitterness balancing the strong sweetness, hint of spices and pine needles. Full bodied, smooth carbonation, slightly heavy to drink. This is not Saison, more like DIPA, a slightly too heavy and sweet, but still tastefull.

Bottle at home (750ml corked and capped) thanks to an IP trade with Dennis. Cloudy orange/amber with a decent off white head that hangs around. Nose is juicy mango, peach, orange, hops, caramelised sugars, light spice. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, mango, sugars, tarte and tangy citrus fruit, light mineral notes, background hops. Fullish body with fine carbonation, sweet dryish finish. Nice ramped up saison !

Cloudy amber- orange, tall finehead. Nose like an IPA, caramel malts, citrs hops, not very saison-like, though nice. Flavor is alcohol, Belgian yeast, huge malt sweetness, plus big hop bitterness. Ridiculously sweet, spicy, boozy. Nohing saison-like about it, just an under-attenuated double IPA with Belgian yeast. Haphazard.

from Erzbierschof - hazy copper-amber beer under a solid creamy beige foam; strong aroma of marzipan, cream, almonds and mango; very sweet and full-bodied, subtle carbonation and a bit sourish; residual sugars and tons of hops and pine needle, mango; pretty sticky - strong and heavy
