Im Geruch wechseln sich Hopfen und Röstmalz gleichmäßig ab und wirken harmonisch. Im Antrunk setzt sich der Hopfen klar durch und bietet natürliche und starke Hopfenaromen. Darunter ist auch das Röstmalz zu erkennen, dass sich, wie der Hopfen, konstant steigert, Im späten Mittelteil sind die Aromen auf Augenhöhe und ergänzen sich hervorragend, später wird das Malz intensiver, der noch starke Hopfen wirkt intensiv im Hintergrund. Das vollmundige Mundgefühl wird so ausgebaut, die Malzbetonung des Bieres wird hervorragend ausgeglichen. Zwischenzeitlich ist der Hopfen allerdings arg süß da bittere Nuancen nicht vorhanden zu sein scheinen. Daher wirkt das Bier im Nachgeschmack zum ersten Mal nichtganz stimmig. Ansonsten ein wunderbares Bier! 13/12/11/11/12/12

Brassin 2009. Bouteille de 330 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Explosion du contenu à l’ouverture de la bouteille. Arôme: Odeur de caramel et d’houblons. Apparence: La couleur est brune opaque. Présence d’un large col beige mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel et d’houblons avec une pointe de chocolat. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence d’alcool chaleureux en arrière goût. (Rating #3556)

Pours dark brown with no head at all. Very low carbonation, nice hoppy taste that has hints of raisin and liqourice.

Pours a dark hazy brown colour with a very small foamy head. Aroma of strong syrup and alcohol. Flavour of raw floral hops, dark roasted malts with some dried fruits and licorice. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel without any carbonation. Alcohol finish with some raisins. Lacks carbonation.

330ml bottle, vintage 2009, hazy dark brown hue, with a big bubbly beige head, lively yeatiness, mild malt sweetness, light floral, piney, grassy hop pellet nose with some cookie dough, toasted, caramelized, biscuity, cerealic malt accents, with a soft oatmeal, cookie, brown sugar, toffee notes in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a warmth, yeasty, toasted, caramelized, biscuity malt, flowery grassy, piney, cedary hop pellet character with some cookie dough, minty leafiness, lime, grapefruit rind flavours, with a toffee, cookie dough, brown sugar, french toast, marmalade undertones and some hints of dark dried fruits, leading towards a warming, fruity, lime, grapefruit peel, citrusy, leafy, piney, cedary hop bitterness finish.

Dark black with lace. Slightly oxidized aroma, big malt, earthiness form the hops I expect but otherwise not a huge hop nose. Big malt flavor, cola, chocolate, noble hops. Grassy, dirty, bitter, harsh but nicely so. Some acid/citrus notes. Big carbonation. Interesting.
