COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filty rich in the nose and with massive taste. Black Damnation is a blend with the use of Hel & Verdoemenis from Brouwerij De Molen. This is the first of the series.

50% of Black Albert was used with another 50% of H &V.

Black coloured beer with just a sliver of a dark tan head. Aroma is glorious & full of coffee, brown sugar, dark fruity chocolate. Flavours of H&V are quite evident, charcoal and mineral notes, chocolate, cocoa powder. Good coffee chocolate finish with good balancing bitterness and hops & sugar in the after taste.

Thank you to Stowehop! Pours dark brown with a brown head. The aroma is sour fruity with berries and a little roast malt. The flavor is strong roast coffee, sweet dark fruit, with an ashy finish. It has a mildly sour edge throughout. Super thick on the palate.

Bottle. The smell is roasty, malts, chocolate, coffee, and burnt malts. The look is dark, black in color, with a thick beige colored head. The taste is slightly burnt, definite roast, malts, coffee, and dark chocolates.

PaulHegedus (548) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2012
Bottle. It is almost black in colour. Poured into a snifter. Milky brown head. Aroma of leather, cream, ground coffee beans, mild leafy hops and raisin. Full bodied and very smooth. At first the flavour is filled with fruit, especially plum, raisin and dark cherries. It’s slightly chalky. The flavour becomes quite dry with only mild hints at coffee and dark chocolate before milk, smoke and then finally grape juice with skins in a long finish.

Bottle from trade with PaulHegedus - thanks! Sticker says 9.2% ABV. Motor-oil black with a nice brown head. Aroma of coffee and brown sugar. Coffee, cocoa, sugar, and a little caramel and vanilla start off the flavour. This leads into some slight spice and licorice, with some bready malt, and finally to a slightly bitter finish with warming alcohol, with more sugar too. Very good!

A wonderful full bodied stout with chocolate, coffee, and nice rounded mineral flavor. Hops and sweetness finish it out perfectly.

Bottle thanks to TheGuy! Rich dark black pour, small lasting disc of carbonation and an aroma of dark chocolate, raisins. Flavor is slightly sweet port, more dark chocolate, brown sugar, plums and finished with a little earth peat. Solid imperial stout and way too drinkable at 13% ABV.

Bottle courtesy of a trade with Dany. Pours a deep thick black with a dense dark tan head. A ton of coffee on the nose initially, roast, with a subtle sweetness that starts to peek through. Soft old caramel and vanilla, toffee and a lot of roast. Medium to thick bodied, starts off slowly, smooth and chocolaty, lots of roast, soft chocolate candies, cocoa and warm roast. Chewy chocolate brownies, a touch of coffee. Long chocolate and coffee rich finish, never overpowering, but very full flavored and thick. Absolutely lovely.

Pours almost completely black. Slight red edges. Aroma has cocoa, blackberries, a touch of tart grapes, lots of roasted malts and chocolate. High carbonation, nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, dry coffee, some tarty berries. Super, long, roasted and bitter aftertaste. Nice.
