2/18/2009 3:35:35 PM Black body with malty nose. Fruity nose. Nice taste of malt, caramel, hops, dark fruits. Lots of chocolate. Spicy finish. Dry body. Wonderful, as always.

From 2011. 33cL bottle. GUSHER!! Big tan glass of foamy head. There is a slim amount of blackish liquid beneath, after the gusher finally settled down. Wow! Smells initially of chocolate, then celery seed. Taste is of a typical porter, with some alka-seltzer and chocolate. Carbonic bite, bitter. A little sweet, but too thin. Not a good impression for the ?brewer? on this one. I?ll be avoiding other stuff by him.

APPEARANCE - black, with nearly white head that sticks around. NOSE - tiny bit of grassy hop. Slightly boosy, but not too much. FLAVOR - pretty good Porter, slightly roasty. Thin taste, not too thick or viscous.

Bottle 401/450. Pours lighter brown with a big foamy, khaki head. Nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Different flavor than expected with a hint of fruitiness but it finishes with a little bitterness. Unique but nice.

Cork exploded out of bottle. Immediate foam-filling pour into an English pint. Full glass of tan head. Soy and dark chocolate aromas. Seriously - I’ve been here five minutes and looking at 2 full pints of foam with maybe an 2 inches of liquid. Dry and Sharp with dark chocolate covered caramel upfront turning to soy before the lasting dry espresso finish.
