Sweet jeebus. I want to get in my Tardis and go back and get some more of this smokey, popped like a gun going off. Delicious -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Bottled 14 March 2009 from Monks porter house Stockholm. Black colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate and cacao. Some sourness as well. Taste of roasted malts, coffee and some dark chocolate and some sweetness. Some sourness in background. Somewhat watery palate.

Cork exploded out of bottle. Immediate foam-filling pour into an English pint. Full glass of tan head. Soy and dark chocolate aromas. Seriously - I’ve been here five minutes and looking at 2 full pints of foam with maybe an 2 inches of liquid. Dry and Sharp with dark chocolate covered caramel upfront turning to soy before the lasting dry espresso finish.

Very dark brown beer, transparent. Frothy beige head. Palate is crispy and dry, Lightly sour dark malt with a trace of lacto sweetness and smoke. Light milk chocolate. Hangs together very well. A sessionable porter this one!

Corked bottle, courtesy of Jan (fonefan), brewed 2008-01-16, bottled 2008-02-19, nearly 4 years old
Dark brown color, almost black, with medium sized head. There is a mild but nice coffee aroma, and very light anise. Lean body, with a quite dry mouthfeel; flavor of dark chocolate, roasted malts and coffee; the final is weaker than expected. Easy.

Bottle no.342 of 2011 batch. Many thanks to Cuso for the trade. Pours totally black with an almost comically large off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate with some caramel notes. Taste is also roasty with some light fruitiness and chocolate leading to a moderate bitter finish. Carbonation way over done. Enjoyable but a little disappointing from a brewery which is usually, from what I understand, top notch.
