Bov (4604), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 14, 2008 courtesy of Laurent Mousson and Ron Pattinson - very dark brown almost black with a little beige foam; toasted aroma of chocolate and pralines; slightly oily, full-bodied and very bitter before a long chocolatey finish - deeply tasty, bitter and with a fantastic character, very complex yet very drinkable; marvellous! kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2008 Date: 07/03/2008

mgumby10 (1624), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a dark brown, with a small off white head. Smells of a little nutty roast, dark chocolate malts, and some bready yeast as well. The flavor is of mild hops, kind of musty dead malts and caramel. Kind of boring and a bit bitter as well. Doesnt seem like their best work here. Not very complex or exciting. Nothing offensive, just not much to really get excited about here. Average. Ober (276), Best, Netherlands Aug 4, 2008 At the tasting session by Joes. A black colored beer, with a beige foamy head. The aroma of strong coffee, dark chocolate, burned malts. In the taste are also the strong koffie, dark chocolate and the burned malts. It has a dry bitter aftertaste. I think it’s not bad, but certainly not the best of this brewery. In my opinion there is to much of everything.
