A black body with a fast fading tan head. Aroma was of burnt malt, cola and chocolate malts. Flavor was sweet. Some coffee malts and a bit if burnt malt. Mild presence of alcohol. Light on the palate. Just okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour with lots of floaties and good tan head. Massive tobacco and chocolate and soy sauce. Big chewy body. Cocoa Porter finish. Hides the Abv. Very well.

What a shame! Full disclosure - my bottle was 6 years old acquired via trade. Cannot attest to proper cellaring. That said.. Pours murky brown/black with tons of carbonation. Aroma is sour, rancid, diswater, dark/burnt coffee. Taste essentially is all of those notes with some faint milk chocolate. I wanted this one to be so much more! I would speculate that improper cellaring played a role.

Had this 3 years ago so I’ve chilled out a bit since then, I should have slated this bastard. WORST gusher ever. Undid the cage, turned around to get a glass and boom, all over the ceiling, everywhere. Paid £10 for less than quarter of a bottle. Fucking joke. Thanks De Molen. What was left was 8 pints of foam and this little dribble, that I didn’t care for. Would never go near another after that. I’m a De Molen fan but grr
