4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. [thank you, bierkoning]
Pours completely black with a giant, frothy, light-brown head. Fizzes away rather quickly. Wonderful, dry aroma, some soy sauce, rum, chocolate, hard roasted, walnuts. High carbonation, very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is impressively dry, lots of coffee powder added with cocoa powder. Some smoky notes. Great long, very dry finish. Super chewy chocolate. Light viniousness. Great.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
We have liked everything from de Molen so far, and the Triple Stout was no exception. Subtle, complex, smoky, slightly bitter chocolate tasting brew. This was bottle 474 of a batch of 696 bottles. Delicious.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, c&c, from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours a pretty dark brown/black with a monstrous beige head. Foamy. Lots of chocolate in the nose, with toasted dark malt and darkish fruit. Medium body with pretty mild carbonation. Flavor is near burnt malt, chocolate, maybe something like citrus, likely some coffee. Definitely some coffee. Hops play nicely with the darker aspects. Very gd.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet toasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a very good beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found in a lost corner in his warehouse, I was allowed to take home a few corked bottles, unlabeled. Almost pitch black color, frothy head. Bottle opened with a bang. Licorice, cinnamon, dark chocolate and cream in the aroma. Warm alcoholic flavor with coffee, licorice and cinnamon. Somewhat thin, alcoholic and sharp on the tongue. Firm roasty aftertaste, with some earthy hops. Very tasty strong stout, but it could be a bit more balanced. Nevertheless a fine effort to revive a long lost brew.

bottled. black coloured. fluffy light brown head. the beer actually explodes out of the bottle, and luckily I was warned by Ølbutikken, so it was poured over a zink, but still a lot of good beer was spilled. aroma of roast, chocolate, some liqourice, vague coffee and some molasses. quite delicious. flavour as well full of good things. roast, chocolate, some liqourice, grass, very nice. Medium to full bodied. ends on a roasted and grassy bitterness. very nice, and had it poured out of the bottle properly, I would have given it a 3,8+
