Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Hazy medium to dark amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, candy, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, ripped citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, very much sweet malt, hoppy citrus. Strange beer, not to my liking ... tomuch malt sweetness - do like the old amarilo whay better ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110924]

Draught @ BBF’11: Medium white head on top of a darker orange amber colored beer. Smell hops, tea, soap. Taste currant bun, tea, hops, light citric, light sweet. Strange but nice. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to full body, light watery sticky texture.

Tap @ BBF 2011. Amber color. Dried oranges, flowers, earl grey tea and bergamot oil in the aroma. Firm floral tea flavor with dried oranges. Sweet and almost sugary. The tea rules the basic beer.

Draft @ BBF. Aroma, well this is no Amarillo?? Flavour, where’s the amarillo. Maybe I would have liked it more with a different name, because the flavour was nice, just not amarillo’ish.

Had this at Boreft Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands, 24.09.11 I only really got to try this because of Craig’s persistence that I try it, thanks Craig! quite spicy and a very floral beer. Very interesting however the floral nature is a little too dominating with honey, lavender the latter pointed out by Craig. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Draught @ BBF 2011. Hazy copper pour, thick solid white to gray (?) head. Aroma is very fruity, full of wonderful bergamot, like good earl gray tea, with some spices. Flavor is very fruity, sweet with nice floral bitter hops. Nice balance. Very drinkable. But the Amarillo is almost gone.
