Draught @ Borefts 2011. Amber, with an off-white, cream head. Earl grey tea, citrus, soap in the nose. Strong tea aroma with white grapes, apple, some floral parfume. Medium bodied and carbonated, with a dry, sweet finish. Fantastic combination, well done!

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Light semi dry fresh palate. Menno blows me away again with his use of Amarillo hops - gorgeous fresh orange juice like hops with marmalade richness underneath. A little floralness. Fan bleedin tastic again! Gorgeous!

Draught @ BBF 2011. Hazy copper pour, thick solid white to gray (?) head. Aroma is very fruity, full of wonderful bergamot, like good earl gray tea, with some spices. Flavor is very fruity, sweet with nice floral bitter hops. Nice balance. Very drinkable. But the Amarillo is almost gone.

Martinus (3638) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2011
Clear dark orange amber colour, foamy white head. Aroma of bergamot, hops, tea, citrus, orange, some malts. Floral touches. Flavour slightly sweet, quite bitter (both tea and hops bitterness), still quite malty. Finish some lingering sweetness, changing to tea like bitter, slightly astringent. I’m a sucker for earl grey tea and bergamot in general. They have me with this beer.

Golden, almost clear body, white small bubbly head. Clearly loads of tea, but well developed. Spicy, orange, fresh yeast. Very drinkable. Nice bitterness. Special but not overdone (any more, from this older bottle). Tasty for sure! (Sample from 33cl bottle, thanks Menno!)

Countbeer (5260) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2011
Draught @ BBF’11: Medium white head on top of a darker orange amber colored beer. Smell hops, tea, soap. Taste currant bun, tea, hops, light citric, light sweet. Strange but nice. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to full body, light watery sticky texture.

Draft @ BBF. Aroma, well this is no Amarillo?? Flavour, where’s the amarillo. Maybe I would have liked it more with a different name, because the flavour was nice, just not amarillo’ish.

bierkoning (11044) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2011
Tap @ BBF 2011. Amber color. Dried oranges, flowers, earl grey tea and bergamot oil in the aroma. Firm floral tea flavor with dried oranges. Sweet and almost sugary. The tea rules the basic beer.
