Draught at borefts 2011. Loved the nose of this beer. Truly reminded me of Earl Grey tea with a bit of lemon, which is of course present due to the Amarillo hops. First taste was really nice, and so was the second sip. After that it went downhill, I would not finish an entire bottle of this. Nice try, but no thanks...

Golden, almost clear body, white small bubbly head. Clearly loads of tea, but well developed. Spicy, orange, fresh yeast. Very drinkable. Nice bitterness. Special but not overdone (any more, from this older bottle). Tasty for sure! (Sample from 33cl bottle, thanks Menno!)

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Light semi dry fresh palate. Menno blows me away again with his use of Amarillo hops - gorgeous fresh orange juice like hops with marmalade richness underneath. A little floralness. Fan bleedin tastic again! Gorgeous!

Boreft Beer Festival 2011. Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Aroma of tea, caramel, dark sugar and fruity/orange peel hops. A touch of cardemum and mint. Sweet dark sugar and spice flavour, with peach and orange notes

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a hazy and brown beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, tea and hops with citrus and peach. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness and bitterness. Overall a good beer.

Hopfiger, viel zu krasser Antrunk. Stark nach Minze und nach Kuchen, später Anis. Bah! 12/2/2/1//2

Draught @ Borefts 2011. Amber, with an off-white, cream head. Earl grey tea, citrus, soap in the nose. Strong tea aroma with white grapes, apple, some floral parfume. Medium bodied and carbonated, with a dry, sweet finish. Fantastic combination, well done!

Deep orange to brown colour with a big white head. Smells like a ’krentenbol’. Tastes like toilet refreshner and lemon - but not in a bad way. Great carbo, medium body.

Martinus (2744) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2011
Clear dark orange amber colour, foamy white head. Aroma of bergamot, hops, tea, citrus, orange, some malts. Floral touches. Flavour slightly sweet, quite bitter (both tea and hops bitterness), still quite malty. Finish some lingering sweetness, changing to tea like bitter, slightly astringent. I’m a sucker for earl grey tea and bergamot in general. They have me with this beer.

Not quite sure what to think of this one... A very nice nose of Bergamot, bit of yasmin and citrus. But my god, how the taste was so drenched with earl grey tea taste. It made every balance in the nose disrupt completely. A pity. The aftertaste was violet candy alike.
