hazy reddish-amber colour, minimal off-white head, which disappears quickly; fruity aroma of hops with some citrus and sweetness, too; taste of hoppy bitterness with fruity and citrus tones, significant malty sweetness and long lasting bittery-spicy aftertaste - excellent IPA (with a bit more malty notes than expected)

Bottled on 10Dec12. Drank on 20Apr13. Bought at Olbutikken, Copenhagen, beer was at room temp. Pours a hazy hazburnt-orange with minimal white head that goes away quickly and leaves lacing. Smells of caramel and barleywine-type alcohol. No fresh amarillo smell. Tastes of oily amarillo hops, caramel malt, cardboardy. Palate is undercarbonated, alcoholy and oily. Finishes oily and dry.

Bottle dated 5 Sept 2011. Pour a slight hazy orangish yellow. Huge fizzy head. Nose of dank hop, some citrus, adn some sweetness. Big bitter bite up front, caramel sweetness and soem belgian type esters showing through. Long bitter finish. Better balanced by the sweetness as it warms up. Interesting play of the big bitterness with the fizziness from the yeast.

Vignale (2495) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 19, 2013
Bottle from Beernavigator. Bottled 10/12/12. Pours reddishamber, small offwhite head, slightly cloudy. When opened and poured a burst of amarillo scents comes out but they die rather fast. Left is a sweet fruty nose with peaches, honey and cloudberries. The taste is sweet and reveals that the hops have seen and said goodbye to their best days. It’s still nice, fruity, slightly oily and midbitter but there are also a little metal and a small tone of carbage.

Dommod2011 (704) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2013
Smells like days gone by (not yore, this isn’t some medieval schtick), a childhood of endless summers, sticky black Tarmac, hunting for grasshoppers in the long grass. Tastes like sitting on the roof of Barry’s car in Sutton Park, listening to ’Check Your Head’, watching the world go by. The appearance is reminiscent of a melancholy kick flip shove it in Lichfield Precinct before building up the confidence to do the big steps. Kicks ass.
