3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Hawthornes in Philly. Pours a golden amber with a small thin head. Nice malty aroma with the Belgian spices and a bit of hops coming through. The flavor had the same only the hops are more pronounced. The alcohol hits hard as the beer warms.

Sajnos a sok szesz agyon üti a habot tehát nem sokat látunk belőle de meglötykölve azért éledezik... Állaga ködös alul élesztődarabokkal, különben sötétsárga. Illata kellemes a névadó komlótól viszont ott tornyosul az édes veszedelmes 9.2-es alkoholszörny vállán a saaz kis öcsivel. Testes ragacsos olajos szolidan keserű a műfajhoz képest. Vége felé gyanta plusz hamus buké és legutoljára a száraz saaz még beszól.
Nem ájultam el...

0.33l bottle. Orange body with a thin white head. Intense caramel aroma with some flowery grassy hoppyness. Taste is really caramelly with some citrusy and floral notes. Full bodied texture with a noticeable alcohol presence. A good beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark reddish colour. Aroma of berries, fruit and hops. Fruity smell of grape and orange. Very nice. Wonderful fruity taste with the same character as the aroma. A taste of something very specific which I can’t put a name on. Fruity hops with a even bitterness throughout. Good feeling with a nice ample body. Once again very happy with De Molen

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Dark copper, massive beige head that leaves the most amazing laces. Smells powerfully of amarill hops. Citrus, zests, mango, malts and some fruity yeast esters. Quite malty flavor, heavy sweet, fruity, tropical fruits like pineapple, mango and peach. Heavy bitter finish, resins and citrus zests. Medium body, soft carbonation, light oily texture. A fruit bomb of a dipa, centred on citrus. One of the most successful amarillo beers i’ve tried. Good malt base, nice hop bitterness...it’s all goood actually

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Monk's with Vinny. Pours tangerine orange with a thin, fuzzy white head. Aroma of grapes, Belgian yeast, sweet cherries, and some slight hoppy citrus. Medium bodied with a sort of chewy palate. Very sweet for an IPA, and tastes more like a hoppy, boozy Belgian ale. Not bad at 9.2%, but not my style of IPA for sure. This may be another case of overseas IPAs not being able to make the trip to the States whilst maintaining freshness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at Monks, pours hazy gold, well carbonated, medium bodied. Aromas of grass, grapes, peach and hops. Taste resembles cherry chloraseptic spray when it drips down a numb throat. Really enjoyed that cherry medicinal quality to this brew. Other notes of spicy saaz, caramel, and tangerine. Slightly sticky in the mouth. boozed out and warming in the chest yo

Bottle. Almost clear dark yellow with little head or lace. Very nice round aroma of ripe pineapple, some grass and a little clove. Those continue into the flavor with bit more spice, some yeast, a little resin, and a good play between sweetness and bitterness that keeps going. The body soft full and soapy. That’s a highlight. It’s incredibly balanced for such a big beer with the alcohol very well hidden. It’s a gem. I can’t imagine letting it sit for long.

Big Bomber Bottle, picked up at Vika. Enjoyed may 17th 2012 with friends
Hazy dark orange colored with a creamy whitish head.
Aroma of orange, grapefruit, honey, taste of caramel, grapefruit, lemon, herbs, ending in a good lasting bitterness. Very good use of the amarillo hop in this one
