UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 Shiny brown beer. Lots of hops, hay, earthy. Oily, somewhat fizzy body with lively carbonation. Balanced bitterness extending to its long aftertaste. Brilliant beer. (75cl bottle bought at the brewery.) (Rating re-indexed)

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: Poured an almost opaque deep orangy brown tinted color with small sediments. Huge and flaky off-white head sits and bubbles on the top and leaves a messy lace around the tulip-glass.
Aroma: Moderate herbal and floral hoppy notes with a fresh citrusy bite and moldy-cheese-like yeast notes.
Flavor: Intense dry asparagus and lime-filled hop resins peaked in the foreground. A slight candi-saturated caramel malty backgound overwhelmed by dry saaz and a tangerine and citrusy-like hop resins. Intense, peppery finish.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Relatively soft and easy mouthfeel with a dry, citrusy flavor profile.
Overall: Really impressive european IPA with a bold herbal and citrusy hoppy complexity. Saaz hops are a bit confusing here in my opinon, but i cant’t complain. Fantastic brew!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
75cc Bottle@home. Pours a hazy copper/orange with a huge creamy head. Intense hop aroma with notes of citrus, earth, grapefruit, some toffee, fresh cut grass. Mouthfeel is very fresh and peppery. Fizzy carbonation. I probably have a very fresh bottle. A solid malty backbone which stands up to the dry bitter finish. This was a very fresh one, but I have tasted this from tap and older bottles as well. This stuff is even better when it has aged a little bit. A definite glorious beer from De Molen.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured murky amber, with a tan lacing head. Honey, flowers, light citrus, caramel in the aroma. Dense oily body contributes to a full mouth feel. It is very soft on the palate, a real treat. Easy to drink, with the alcohol well blended. I would call it the dessert of IPAs.

0,33 l bottle from CrackedKettle, shared with Balazs.
Hazy golden/amber one with a nice creamy tan head. Delicious, fine aroma of citrusses, grape and fruity hops with a honeyish, sweet caramel malt background. Oily density, fine caramel, honey and malt base with the fruity hops in the flavor too. Grape, grapefruit, citrusses and raisins, some spiciness. Yumm!!!

Hazy orange with a thick off-white head. Hoppy and malty notes. Malt, fruit and hops. Full body with a long, bittersweet aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours hazy light-orange with small white head; fresh exotic fruity aroma: especially strong notes of mango; flavor is also very fruity - mangos, again - with pleasant bitterness; doesn’t actually taste malty at all, even though it is quite full-bodied and smooth - but as enjoyable as it is (=very) I don’t find myself in a position to complain.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Small bottle from Řlbutikken, Copenhagen formaly known as the best beer shop in the world.... now second...but I guess it will be back to the old status soon. This beer is from there shelfes. The pour is dark moisty golden with an off white head with an impressive attitude and long lasting. There are clearly yeast left overs floating around. The nose has the notes from the amarillo dry hoppin up front. Citrus and light malty notes some cheep perfume and watermelon and newly cutted juicy grass. The taste is a bit disappointing at first with a medium to light palate and a yeasty imoression. The finish is more interesting with a nice malty sweetness and a hoppy bitterness along with a teasing bite form the alcohol. Nice beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle sampled on 8/27/09: Pours a transparent dark amber with a well-lacing cream-colored head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel and some fresh grapefruity hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramel malt with a nice citrusy hop balance. Finishes crisp resiny and bittersweet. A pretty well-balanced and enjoyable IIPA.
