Bottle from De Molen. Very hoppy aroma and flavours that blended well with the malt base. Slight citrus in the body and finish.

Buena cerveza, aunque hace unos años era mejor!

500th review in MTL Cheval Blanc. Pour hazy golden orange with big off white head good lace. Aroma grapefruit, citrus, caramel, tangerine, quite sweet, spicy Belgian yeast. Taste pine, alchohol, tangerine, citrus, grapefruit, mild sweetness. MF medium body fizzy carb with big boozy warmth. Terrific aroma with a taste and MF that drop the ball.

Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont, DC 10oz tap ($5hh): Pours a brownish color with an off-white head. It seems to me that I am rating a different beer than everyone else here, because the impressions I got out of it were pretty different. Anyway, aroma was musky, a tad of citrus, tobacco (like the kind from a burning cigar), and something else that I would not quite call smoke. Taste was very intense. Very much a sipping beer. Lot’s of hops mixed with a lot of malts. A good amount of sweetness in there as well. Tobacco burn all throughout the taste. I never had a beer quite like this and it makes me wonder what everyone else here had or was thinking... Even so, this was not my favorite beer ever.
