3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a two finger off white head. Head dissipates slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of tons of grapefruit, blood oranges, floral, grape, raspberries? A wine-like smell. Little bit of breadiness and carmel coming through after the initial bitter fruits smell. A musty, earthy smell as well. This beer is almost a year old and the amarillo hop presence on the nose has still not gone away. Taste starts with a moderate hop presence that brings grapefruit, orange, grape, maybe some passionfruit. Leaves you wanting more on the front. Then get a nice dose of breadiness along with some carmel sweetness from the malts. Then comes back with more grapefruit, grape, orange, grass. Decent bitterness, but almost get a watered down sensation on the finish, as well as some booze. Get a good amount of sweetness on the finish as well. Low full body with a sticky and creamy mouthfeel. There is something definitely missing here. The age unfortunately showed and took away from the hop bite. Some IPA’s from overseas can really be great, but the high price combined with the lack of freshness is really starting to push me away. A fresher bottle could change my mind, but there is just something lacking here.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Clear pale body with medium head. Aroma has really sweet fruity character, peach, pineapple, strawberry jam. Taste has high fruity sweetness, apricot, pretty low bitterness. Caramel, little bit of sulfur I think. Body is high with pretty low carbonation. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amertume forte, l’alcool se ressent pas mal, quelques notes fruitées, pas mauvaise mais apparaît un peu écœurante sur la distance. Bouteille achetée chez Intercaves, Noisy-le-Grand, France, bue le 04/12/2014.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber color. Very light taste for a imperial IPA. Citrus/grapefruit taste. Very oily with the right balance between sweet and hippy bitterness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled on 10/12/12. Orange color with small head. Super sweet citrus fruit. Taste is both sweet, bitter, white-viney. Boozy towards the end. This is fantastic.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0,33 bottle purchased in Greece from the Hoppy Imports and consumed in Kosovo. The bottle says it was bottled 06/01/2014, 11 months old. It pours a cloudy copper colour with a medium tick beige head. Nose: typical De Molen feel with caramel, sweet notes, molasse of cherries, alcohol and a residual grassy note. Mouth: not what you actually expect from a DIPA but truly good. round feel of cherries, red soft fruits a hint of syrup but really fresh. The final is nice with a grassy strike to clean the mouth. Peculiar.

Awesom DIPA with malty, citrous/grapefruit and alcoholic notes but extremely well balanced. Good stuff!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazed murky amber DIPA with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light cherry notes, light acidity, light off notes, grassy hops, strange. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with strong cherry notes, a strange acidity, surranated hops, light band aid, infected? On tap at St Bock.
