3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a two finger off white head. Head dissipates slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of tons of grapefruit, blood oranges, floral, grape, raspberries? A wine-like smell. Little bit of breadiness and carmel coming through after the initial bitter fruits smell. A musty, earthy smell as well. This beer is almost a year old and the amarillo hop presence on the nose has still not gone away. Taste starts with a moderate hop presence that brings grapefruit, orange, grape, maybe some passionfruit. Leaves you wanting more on the front. Then get a nice dose of breadiness along with some carmel sweetness from the malts. Then comes back with more grapefruit, grape, orange, grass. Decent bitterness, but almost get a watered down sensation on the finish, as well as some booze. Get a good amount of sweetness on the finish as well. Low full body with a sticky and creamy mouthfeel. There is something definitely missing here. The age unfortunately showed and took away from the hop bite. Some IPA’s from overseas can really be great, but the high price combined with the lack of freshness is really starting to push me away. A fresher bottle could change my mind, but there is just something lacking here.

Bottle at The Bishop?s Arms. Clearly non-pasteurized as we see some fishes in the beer. Floral, but not grassy aroma, quite strong. Extremely sweet taste, very heavy beer. And there is not much more to discover. Too dense for my taste.

Tap at Arend’s Nest. Huge amarillo nose, quite nice peaches and oranges, honey, biscuit, touch of caramel. Deep orange-golden, hazy, tall, foamy head. Sweet and very fruity. Great fruity hops, stone and citrus, bit heavy. Very nice, not amazing, but tasty.

330cc bottle. Pour copper orange with white off head. Lots of peach/apricot, tropical fruits, mango and a bit pine. Very sweet for the stile. Lots of caramel in the background. Nice soft bitterness. Nicely carbonated. Sticks to the lips and palate. Less bitter than an usual DIPA but ok for me. Very good!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden color with very small head but it stays on glass. Aroma: very nice lot of grapefruit, a bit lemon and sweet sent from malt. Taste: first sip seems to be to sweet but then the bitterness comes in which is with very nice grapefruity and citrus like with small amount of resin after a while I could feel banana tones. Beer is very balanced and it has hoppy aftertaste. Amount of bitterness is too small for me but it tasted ok. Palete: a bit too oily but drinkable, soft carbonated with good alcohol taste, semi sweet. Nice one, great for newbies, worth to try.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy amber color with low white head that quickly fades. Really sweet aroma, grapefruity, citrusy, with a good malty backbone. Sweetness dominates also in the taste, but is not overpowering, also some tangerine and tropical fruits. Alcohol is present, but not as if it was a 9.3% beer. Slighty bitter aftertaste.

Magnificent imperial IPA, which have made De Molen. A style that is emerging within my pituitary gland. Yesterday I bought at Cervesa Mania Calella.
Color orange, not yellow, slightly cloudy, with a white foam that quickly fades. The aroma hops especially contributes directly or grass and herbs. It emits a smell like fresh. It’s really al·lucinant.En mouth again wins all hops, caramel and spices. The bitterness is quite durable, all the way to the throat and beyond. Very pleasant to drink well equilibrada.Una masterpiece among imperial IPA.

Barwa miedziano-pomaranczowa, nikla piana, male wysycenie.
W aromacie troche cytrusow, alkohol, suszone owoce. W smaku polaczenie slodyczy i goryczki, rozgrzewajace, geste, glebokie. Moj typ piwa :)
