UPDATED: OCT 2, 2011 Brown/Reddish appearance, huge head on the beer. Nose: grapefruit. Quite balanced bitterness. Full bodied beer. 3.5 Re-rate 02/10/2011. On tap @ De Molen - tulip glass. Pours dark orange/amber with an egg shell head - quite persisting (no carbonation left). Marvelous nose of caramel, grapfruit and some exotic fruits. Taste is massive and is in line with the aromas. Bitter and sweet in perfect balance. Niiiice!!

A very hoppy DIPA. Nice color with huge head that stays there for a long time. Grassy, hoppy, citrus aromas and tastes. I love its hops. Only bad thing was that the beer was super carbonated. I am sure it was not meant to be like this. Huge huge carbonation that made it difficult to drink at the beginning.

Hazy olive orange that puffs up a big white head when roused. Nose is dough, orange, pineapple and creamy mango. Medium body; resiny, syrupy then chalky.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2012 Opaque reddish-brown beer with a frothy head. Well carbonated, with shit floating around. Nice fruity yeasty smell with some caramel and hoppiness, some honey too. Overripe mandarins. Bitter-sour flavour with a strong grapefruit citriness. Lots of hoppy bitterness. Light mandarin hints. Woody and refreshing. Dry finish.

Bottle opens with a loud pop. This is an exquisitely beautiful beer - I’d say it’s in my top ten lookers. It’s very effervescent, with a constant stream of bubbles rushing up to join the white, soapy head. A swirl effortlessly raises the head, which remains for ages until it subsides into a complex lacing. Aroma is grape fruit, grassy hops, mango and passion fruit. Taste is crisp, zesty oranges and lemons, mango and clean hops. It has a lovely mouth feel with just the right amount of body to feel creamy, but still light enough for a summer’s afternoon. The carbonation fizzes around the tongue and leads on to a good burp. Overall this is a superb offering from an impressive brewery. Cheers!

Draught at Pikkulintu. Orangish amber, quite hazy, with scarsely any head at all. Citrus fruits and flowers in the aroma. Flavour also displays fruity notes, mainly citrus. Carbonation somewhere between light and medium. Quite dry finish.

Pours in a semi hazy red amber color, with an off-white head.

Aroma is fresh and fruity. I get citrus, gooseberries, raspberries, honey and suttle licorice.

Taste is sweet and fruity with some floral tendencies. Quite complex fruitiness with gooseberries, strawberries, pineapple, papaya, clementine and blood grapefruit, but also flavours of hibiscus, fresh hops and resin. Long hoppy finish.

Don´t expect an Amarillo single hop beer as the name suggests. I didn´t sense much of those typical Amarillo flavours at all. It´s going more in the direction of tropical fruits. Overall a good beer.

0,33l bottle from Csakajósör, Budapest. Cloudy orange color with medium white head. Delicious hoppy aroma with fruits, honey, flowers and resin. The smooth caramel aroma helps the hops to prevail. The huge body balances the bittersess, so the taste is light bitter. Medium full body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Amarillo hops finish. It’s an outstanding beer. Although it’s not a single-hop IPA, it highlights the aroma of the Amarillo.
