3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hopscotch (7529) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 10, 2008
Bottle… RBSG ‘08… Murky golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, everlasting white head. Smells like a Belgian IPA with the usual phenols and esters that I don’t really dig, but the Amarillo hops save the day with their fresh grapefruit, pine and floral notes. Medium to full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and frisky carbonation. Bittersweet, fruity and very lightly acidic. Lengthy, bitter, warming finish with a touch of residual sugar.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark reddish-amber colour under a persistent creamy beige foam; aroma of fresh cream, apricots and starfruits; full-bodied and with some astringency; quite high carbonation, some sweetness and a fair bitterness; very fruity hoppy finish (apple, peach) and quite dry - very nice

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with a big and steady, slightly off-white foamy head. Fruity (citrus) and piney hoppy aroma with notes of bubblegum and peppery spice. Moderately bitter flavour, full bodied with a well-matured and calm carbonation. Cara-malty base with strong and aromatic hoppy notes of citrus, lime and pine, accompanied by phenolic spices; moderately dry and lasting bitter-sweet finish with a long hoppy tail. Superb. 03.III.10

Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bitter hop flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2008
A Mes rate: Bottle at the Tom’s awesome Twickenham Brewery tasting. Cloudy amber with an excellent off white head. Big cheesy Amarillo with plenty of pepper. Extremely grassy. A gorgeous blend of big big hoppage and some amazing sugary malt with notes of cinnamon. Outstanding bitter and alcoholic finish. Actually other than at the finish the alcohol is hidden remarkably well. The palate is stunning and almost worth a 5. A bloody masterpiece of a beer.
:)
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
Super! 11/12/12/13/11/13

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 CaptainCougar (6834) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 2, 2010
Bottle sampled on 8/27/09: Pours a transparent dark amber with a well-lacing cream-colored head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel and some fresh grapefruity hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramel malt with a nice citrusy hop balance. Finishes crisp resiny and bittersweet. A pretty well-balanced and enjoyable IIPA.
