De Molen Amarillo has an extremely thick, creamy, cream-colored, frothy head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, with numerous tight bubble stream, heavy lacing left behind, and a descending gray cloud, once the bottom contents are swished and poured into the glass. The aroma is strong and rich- hop oil, caramel, toffee, and white bread. Taste is equally bold- rich, sweet bread crust, bread, caramel, toffee, char, hop oil, bitterness, candi sugar, regular sugar, and a brandy aspect from the pronounced alcohol. Mouthfeel is heavy and oily, and De Molen Amarillo finishes mostly dry, super-sweet, alcohilic, and decently drinkable. This beer is exceptionally good and almost worth the over $6.00 a bottle that is charged for it. A great, great beer! RJT

L’IPA "forte" parfaite.

I had it on tap outside brasserie 4:20 probably on of the best experience i’ve ever had. Intense aroma of hops, citrus and fruits. Complex taste, bitter bbut ok balanced. A long end.

An excellent blend of sweetness and bitterness. The grapefruit/orange aroma comes off very strong but isn’t overwhelming and compliments its orange/gold appearance. Tried at the Troosts in Amsterdam in Sept, 2011.

I love Amarillo. Aroma: Citrus, herbs, floral, resin, bitter hops, complex. Appearance: Dark amber. Taste: Perfect bitterness, quite spiced. Palate: Medium body, well carbonated. Complex but very drinkable. Overall: One of the best IPA 20/20.

hazy reddish-amber colour, minimal off-white head, which disappears quickly; fruity aroma of hops with some citrus and sweetness, too; taste of hoppy bitterness with fruity and citrus tones, significant malty sweetness and long lasting bittery-spicy aftertaste - excellent IPA (with a bit more malty notes than expected)
