Draught @ In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Firkin Cask Conditioned. What a great beer. Hazy, muddy light brown with a small, soapy head which slowly disappeared. Strong, impressive aroma with hints of grapefruit, some sweet fruits and some typical De Molen hints. The taste was really great. Like above with a very hoppy, bitter kick. Long bitter aftertaste which seems to last forever. A big thank you to De Molen to taste this great brew Cask Conditioned. Will try a bottle later.

Bottle from Bierzwerg web shop.Aroma of grapefruit, toffee, oranges, pines. Taste, tangerine, grapefruit, orange zest, pine, earthy notes. Nice long spicy, alcoholic bitter finish. Excellent.

Az Amarillo olajosan csorog a kelyhekbe, és opálos narancs színnel csillog benne. A mega-adag komlónak köszönhetően a - majdnem fehér - habja, pedig olyan krémesen sűrű, mint a K.u.K idők békebeli cukrászdáinak bármelyikében a kézzel vert finom tejszínhab. A kitöltés közben már megcsapja az ember orrát a jellegzetes "ipás" illat. Azonban ez az illat messze nem olyan szúrós és nyers, mint megszoktuk az angol vagy amerikai IPA-k többségénél. Az Amarillo illata akár egy bódító szuperbólé. Kevés muskotályos szőlő, trópusi gyümölcsök - mangó és maracuja, - és legfőképpen intenzív sárgabarack. Elsőre ez az IPA is édes a nyelvünk hegyén, és gyümölcsös aromáit is megtáncoltatja az ínyünkön. A finom, elegáns szénsav cseppet sem szúrós, inkább csak pezsgősen jelenik meg a sörben. Mindezek mögött hallgatásba burkolózva, bölcs türelemmel, de ugrásra készen áll a komló nindzsa-harcosa. Amikor már elkápráztatott minket a gyümölcsorgia, hirtelen előugrik, és egy határozott gyors vágással el is intéz mindent, hogy aztán mintha ott se lett volna, újra átadja a helyét a gyümölcsök áradó kavalkádjának.Olyan rafináltan csomagolták be a gyümölcsösségbe a komló gyantás, olajos keserűjét, hogy ha nem figyelünk oda, néha azt hihetnénk valami könnyed barackos lambicet kortyolgatunk, nem egy brutál alkoholos, keserűbomba IPA-t.

Served from a bottle to a Unibrou tulip glass First of all, I had a major gush opening the bottle, then serving the beer I spilled some more in the floor, it gets a huge head when poured so be careful. Appearance: It a turbid dark amber with sediments on it, don’t get me wrong it’s a very inviting color. Aroma: It was a very aromatic beer, just opening the bottle there was a rush of fruity smells straight to your nose, I got hints of peaches, tea and pines. Palate: it is a full bodied beer, very effervescent, a little bit warming from the alcohol (the alcohol flavor it’s not overwhelming at all), the aromas are representen in the palate as well. Overall its a very inviting beer that I will repeat again, very fresh and refreshing as well that leaves you with a good buzz. Recommended

So good. Amazing aroma, great color, golden amber and red. Awesome palate and taste. Overall very well crafted beer. Great beer and I cant get enough. Holland ,makes great brew, no matter that this guys brew kitchen is not that of the major brew ops here in the states, yet his craft is up there with the best. Seeing this guys restaurant/brewpub makes homebrewers smile, because it reinforces the fact that we can make amazing beer without needing to take out a second mortgage. Love it. Menno is badass. Good guy!

Another great beer from De Molen. I like the Zomer Hop a bit more then this one, although they appear to be quite similar to me. If you like hops, you will like this one.

Csaj a jó sör, Budapest. Nagyjából egy éve kóstoltam először Amszterdamban, ez egy olyan sör, amely szinte egyedül képes volt arra, hogy alapjában véve változtasson a sörökhöz, különösen a minőségi sörökhöz való hozzáállásomon. Azóta sok sör lefolyt a Dunán, így egyfajta jubileumnak tekintem ezt. Világító narancs színű sűrű folyadék, tetején kissé sárgás, hatalmas és kitartó tömör habkoronával. Illata mámorítóan gyümölcsös (barack, narancs, mazsola), maláta, nektáros virágillat és komló érződik. Mintha csak egy erősen komlózott (csak közepesen keserű) barack, grapefruit és narancs frissen facsart, szűrt keverékét kóstolnánk némi malátával egyetemben. Egy olyan ipa, melyben a komló(k) inkább az ízt hozza, nem pedig a keserűséget. Utóíze gyümölcsös, nektárosan édes, hosszan tartó. Testes, rendkívül ízgazdag dupla ipa Európa egyik, talán legjobb főzdéjéből.

A very hoppy DIPA. Nice color with huge head that stays there for a long time. Grassy, hoppy, citrus aromas and tastes. I love its hops. Only bad thing was that the beer was super carbonated. I am sure it was not meant to be like this. Huge huge carbonation that made it difficult to drink at the beginning.

75 cl. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft – my friend had to quit after the first glass & I finished the rest of the bottle \ Pretty sure that this is only a couple of months old but I cannot be entirely sure because I have no idea as to how much time I need to deduct from the best before date \ Label is unfortunately not one of their minimalist ones which they seem to keep for their Imperial Stouts & anything sold only in 18 cl. bottles \ Cannot stop trying new De Molen beers, their work is insanely out there and nothing like anything else anyone makes out there to the best of my knowledge \ Half of the time, I declare them insane for making them, sometimes they disappoint but when they are good they are incredible \ Hazy, bright orange with a slight copper hue, head looks almost like something which you would expect to find on a lambic and eventually vanished after not too long \ The smell on this immediately betrays what this is, this is pure, ultra concentrated hop, this is simply liquid, condensed Amarillo hop, smell is very, very bitter grapefruit mixed in with very bitter pine & bitterest tangerine peels ever encountered \ Taste is bitter hop blast at first, enjoyable harsh bitter grapefruit which goes into the extreme to the point that it almost becomes herbal, very bitter herbal actually, touch of floral even, once your tongue becomes numb or you simply get used to it, it starts becoming fruity with apricot, peaches, lemons, you start getting a sweet malt-base buried underneath all the pure bitterness & a hint of yeast \ Medium carbonation, body is a bit like I would imagine hop oil to be but almost something sticky in there as well \ This is a pretty amazing pure hop experience, keep up the good work Molen
