Body is medium copper, tan head. Nose is lemon, brown sugar maltiness, honey, grass, pine & green herbalness. Flavor is a lot of the same with strong bitterness, pine, grass & orangey citrus.

A hazy amber colored beer. Aroma is quite sweet, fruits. Tastes sweeter then expected, with a bitter finish. Maybe a bit to sweet for a double IPA, I guess belgian yeast is used. Still a highly enjoyable beer, but not very true to the style.

Pours amber colour, offwhite long lasting head. Incredible lacing. Full body with very low carbonation. Taste is full of pineapples and a bit of caramel. Overall an amazing beer!

Extremely cloudy, golden color. Big fruity aroma, mango, pineapple, also piney. Thick and creamy texture. Full body, soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitterness. Fruity bittersweet finish. This is just excellent!¨

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14C). Bottle 33 cl - Bottled on 01/05/14. AROMA: medium/low fruity and floral aromas, balanced with a sweet malt profile. very prominent alcohol aroma but it isnt hot. APPEARANCE: deep golden/orangeish color and very hazy (dry hopped). good off white moussy head with good retention and alcohol derived viscosity. TASTE: sweet malty profile balanced with floral and slight fruity notes. high bitterness that lingers well beyond a medium-dry aftertaste. clean and smooth alcohol background without solventy character. PALATE: smooth medium body with a smooth warming alcohol profile. medium carbonation. OVERALL: although a nice IPA, its very high residual sweetness isnt characteristic of an imperial/double IPA.

Bottle @ De Paas, Den Haag. Hazy amber colour, beige creamy foam. Sweet aroma taste with hoppy bitter finish. Warming alcoholic finish. Not easy drinkable. A good sipper!

33cl bottle. Smells fruity. Appealing appearance. Pours cloudy amber-coloured with a thick foamy white head which lasts for quite long. Aromas of caramel and honey are quite noticeable. Aromas of citrus hops are also present , but not that overwhelmingly much. The Amarillo tastes quite sweet and its bitter touch is quite soft and a bit warmish. The taste fades a bit too quickly to my likings, which makes this beer a bit bland. It sure is tasty and definetely not bad, but it misses something to make it less bland. Could have had more bitterness.
