Amber colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, malt and dried fruits. Sweet flavour of raisins, malts and over-ripe fruits. Finish dried fruits, raisins, malt and caramel.
Really retired, but aged nicely, reminding of an American Strong Ale now.

@ZZT VII, oranje/bruine kleur, witte schuimkraag, ruikt en smaakt caramel, beetje hoppig, heel zoet, hout

Backlog. Bottle (young) @ PRZH Winterbierfest 2008. Amber to brown color. Big dense head, slowly receding. Aromaís of hops, resin, sweet fruit, a bit herbal, a bit malty. Flavor is medium sweet&bitter, with acidity from the hops. Quite alcoholic. Medium to full bodied. Medium bitter finish with long retention. Not the bitterness I expected, but lots of hoppiness in the aroma.

Bottle shared by Caesar @ ZZT VII. Hazy reddish color, some floaties, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, some hops (a bit old but thatís obvious), raisin, overripe fruits, nuts, caramel, light to moderately bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Maybe not a DIPA anymore but itís very nice as an American Strong Ale.

Bottle @ ZZT7 thx to caesar. Hazy orange to ruby colour with a small head. Smells raisins, sweet, overripe fruits, wood. Tastes raisins, sweet, barley wine, alcohol, malts, slightly hoppy. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Tasted at ZZT 7 thanks to Caesar. Pours cloudy amber with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, rye, toffee, the hops are gone with this age, seems more like an American strong ale now. Flavor is over moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Cloudy orange with no head. Aroma of massive hops and some malt.Taste is hoppy and quite floral. Probably past itís best, not the best example of De Molen Iíve ever had.

Cloudy light brown beer. Light frothy airy palate. Sweetish caramel malt, turns a little toffee. Blends seamlessly in to orangey hops that have a hops spice streak. Finishes semi dry with minerals and a touch of rich honey. Delicious!

Beautiful dark amber color, bright light, hazy; medium sized creamy head. Aroma of caramel, malt, a bit creamy. Good caramel flavor, good body, medium sweet; there is some reminder of the bitterness, and some orangey resins, but by all evidence most of the hop is gone; said so, although still enjoyable, I had old Double IPAs that hold better the age.
(bonus points for the age)
