Bottle. Brown beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly spiced and the flavour is quite bitter and spiced. Overall a nice mildly spiced beer.

(Cask by gravity at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 31 July 2009) Cloudy dark maber colour with brief, bubbly head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, citrus peel and fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, grass, hints of pine needles and lots of fresh hops in the finish. Rather light body, balanced sweetness. Nicely balanced and highly drinkable. Very nice beer.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 Brouwerij De Molen often tend to make several beers similar in style and taste with some subtle differences. This one certainly belongs in one category with Amarillo and Kannen & Kruiken. The difference being, that this one has the lowest alcohol percentage of the three. If one wants to have a strong and characteristically tasting American-Style IPA without getting too drunk, then this is your beer of choice from De Molen. Good strong Amarillo hops spicyness, unfiltered (always a bonus point in my book) and fresh enough to be a quality thirstquencher for warm summer days.

From tap at the brewery. A nice orange with a white head and a fruity aroma. The flavour is more fruity (especially grapefruit) than bitter and really enjoyable. Very nice beer

Bottle. 2 months past ‘best before’. Thanks to Enjoyit. Pours a hazy golden amber (brown amber if the sediment is poured as well) with an off-white head. A bit of lacing. Sweetish hop aroma with malt in the background. Notes of yeast and quite a lot of plastic at first, but as it warms, the plastic is toned down, and the yeast becomes more tart. Bitter hoppy flavour. Feels a bit watery at first, but soon gains some strength. Dry. Remote notes of plastic as it warms as well as some fruity notes. Finish is a lingering dry hop bitterness. Sweet, fruity notes as it warms and the hops also becomes more outspoken. Overall becomes more well-balanced as it warms. A decent beer, but could do without the plastic notes. 19-06-09.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Cloudy golden, rich creamy head. Sweaty mango aroma. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Richly hoppy with Belgian style yeasty backdrop. Rather bitter finish.
