Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a hazy golden orange with a large, frothy white head. Lots of sweet and sour tones come through. Sour grapefruit and sweet pineapple are present with the addition of dried fruits - mainly apricot. The taste comes through with very strong grapefruit. Leaves a lingering sourness. Very pleasant beer

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2011 Bottle shared with Elena and Gloria in Amsterdam. Pours lightly hazy, rich, red-gold with a strong, white head. Hops on the nose, grapefruit, pineapple, some honey. Pretty sweet flavor, lots of hop character, crispy toast malts, more grapefruit, pineapple, pine tree. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean, semi-sticky hop finish, mild caramel, pine and citrus rind linger. Great beer, smooth drinker. (3.9) Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting, October 2011, thanks to Rene. Spicy nose, orange, faint anise. Medium sweet flavor, good balance, plenty of citrus, some citrus pith, bubblegum. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Clean finish, some sugar, citrus, faint grass and pith, melon big time, some more bubblegum. (3.9)

The beer in the glass is bronze-coloredr, something like a dark IPA. The smell directly revealed of one of my favorite hops: Amarillo. It starts very recent, citrusy and spicy bitter hoppy, it also tastes wonderfully after Amarillo. The center part is sligthly dry, the finish is pungent hoppy, very bitter. To finish it gets a little shallow and mild, it remains a pleasant bitterness and Amarillo hops come through still very good.

Light amber, firm, rather well lasting, off-white foam head consisting of fine small bubles. Fruity aroma. Grapefruit, grape, some dried apricot. Fragrant lime (linde) blossom (lindebloesem). All the best of the amarillo hops. Full taste. Some hop bitterness. Malt sweetness. Again the grapefruit, together with candied orange peel. No sence of lack of alcohol, even though it has a relatively low ABV. Dry lingering aftertaste, astringent, the bitterness of the hops comes through in full strenght after a while. Really refreshing and nice beer. (from 33cL bottle)

UPDATED: APR 13, 2011 Bought @ Birra ed Oltre (Naples, Italy). Pours a pale orange color with gold reflexes. Foam is not so thick, just one finger remain. Aroma is that of Amarillo, citric and pomegranate notes are persistent. Light to medium body, malt is robust and pleasant. SO bitter, finish is really astringent, dry and long-lasting with citric and rhubarb notes on the tongue tip. A pretty balanced bitter. I change my mind and raise my rate a week after from 3.6 to 3.8. Reason? Well, this one hasn’t clearly complexity of an imperial stout, but simpiler styles deserves worthiness as well. And we’re talking about a really good beer beyond its style.

It has an orange hue, it is very hazy (making me think it was bottle conditioned, which I dont think it was after tasting it) with a great, rocky head. The nose is fantastic! The malt and hops are intertwined so that it almost smells of sweet hops rather than hops and malt separately. The body is very full but it isnt heavy, so 750ml isnt hard to drink. It is is carbonated enough to be an American style and it tastes of sweet wort and candied lemons. For all the hops on the nose this isnt an aggressively bitter beer, though it does have a nice, though short, bitter finish. This is a very good beer!

Nice citrussy amarillo hop aroma. Hazy gold-tinged orange with a nice white head. Great hoppiness but overall thin...wish there was a bit more malt in the body.
