Very nice refreshing summer beer. Has quite a load of all sorts of citrus flavor, with their trademark Amerillo hops, which are getting a little annoying because they’re in so many of their beers and many times for the wrong reasons. But in this case it’s used right. Doesn’t overpower and gives the floral / fruite flavors some bitter richness. Nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle pours a dirty golden orange color with a huge white head that leaves some nice foamy lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some grains and caramel. Taste is a grainy caramel malty sweetness with a bold pine and grapefruit hop bitterness finishing dry on the palate. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. Quite hoppy for the style, but still an enjoyable brew.

Clear amber colour with nice white head. Hops aroma full of pine, citrus, grass hits you in the nose. The taste is not that bittet as expected from the aroma. It is very nice bitter with taste if citrus and mango. Decent carbonation. Light body. My first De Molen beer and I am happy to start with this one.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Backlog rating. Keg at the Kings Arms tap takeover, London. It pours a clean amber color with a small white head. Aroma is softly hoppy, fruity with dough and yeasty pepper and esters. Taste is medium sweet medium bitter, with fruity hops, pine cones, ripe apricots, mango and citrus. Finishes dry and estery with yeast notes. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite good although not really brewed to style specifications looks like

Bottle from the Fynes Ales brewery shop. Pours hazy amber with a frothy off-white head. Nice sweet pine aroma. The taste is juicy tropical fruit with moderate spice. Lacks a bit of malt backbone. Otherwise good.

Dark yellow. Off white head. Nose is nice. Simcoe? Chinook? Clean American pale ale. Perhaps corn and gingerbread as well but it’s pretty close to an American pale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Bacchinalia. Golden brown with a slight haze and massive, massive pillows of white head. Sharp floral and piney hop aroma. Slightly earthy note. The taste is not as bitter as the aroma may suggest. Instead the taste starts bittersweet and gradually moves toward an edgier bitter. Fresh clean finish. The palette is shockingly weak but I’ll forgive that. All in all a wonderful session strength beer from de Molen.
