March 2013 - cold bottle, dated 28/11/12. Enduring head. Very subdued smell. Taste - watery, some caramel malts, very mild citrus, finish is slightly sharp, not much bitterness, low carbonation. A bit boring because of how watery it is. Falls below normal De Molen standards.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a nice lasting head. Aroma is orange, citrus, tropical, flowers and some malt in the back. Taste is medium bitter and dominated by the fresh hops with a back of malt. Nice. Appearance is awsome!

Bottle 33cl. Red with beige foamy head. Nice hoppy aroma, pine and little citrus. Nice bitter taste, medium rich followed by a bitter finish. This would be a pleasant beer to drink in the summer, not too strong and tasty. Good one.

Pours hazy light copper, small off-white head. Aroma is earthy and zesty. Flavours of citrus, dried fruit, light earth, a little pine. Very slightly watery initially, but the flavours develop nicely. Pretty good.

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Hazy caramel color with a velvety head that lingers throughout. Amarillo forward aroma with some lemon, orange, toffee, minerals and light biscuit. Good carbonation with a slight prickly bitterness on the palate. Good carbonation with more lemon and grass flavors. Finish is bitter and dry. Quite nice. A carbonated bitter.

2/8/2009 7:57:40 AM As De Molen Amerikaans: Cracked Kettle. Golden body with medium head. Solid nose of grapefruit, honey. Taste of citrus, grapefruits and malts, with caramel on the back. Quite hoppy. Fruity finish.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 13/11/14 Labeled as Amerikaans. Creamy white head atop a hazy copper body. Aromatic hop nose - lots of floral herbs, grass & spice, citrus rind & pine, touch of caramelly malts. Medium-to-full body, nice touch of malt chewiness, moderate carbonation. Doesn’t quite explode with flavour but nicely tempered flavour on the body - once again grass, floral spice & grapefruit/lemon rind. Bitterness somewhat subdued (for style), lingering spice to finish. Not too shabby - fail to see how it’s a Bitter of any sort though.

hazy amber colour, medium sized creamy, slightly yellowish head; aroma of peach, tangerine, orange zest, some caramel and bread notes; taste is also dominated by fruitiness (peach, grapefruit, tangerine) with adequate amount of bitterness, some bready notes and pine resin; excellent beer, though for me, it’s more like an APA than a bitter
