Bottle: Hazy, ruby-amber coloured, some floaties visible, big and stable fluffy off-white head; fruity and dry caramelly nose, wanut-oil detectable; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, relatively soft; slightly lingering chocolatey and fruity finish with a light acidity underneath. O.K, but I’ve already sampled better beers of De Molen.........

0,75 l. bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Brewed in 2010. Clear dark red-brown colour with a big, beige foamy head, that fades slowly. A powerfull aroma of yeast, sweet malts, caramel and weak notes of cinnamon. Somewhat oliy texture, soft carbonation. The high alcohol % is present, especially in the finish, were the alcohol leaves an almost burning sensation on the palate. The finish is abrupt dispite the high abv. Less alcohol please! (hmm...) Considering the hefty price tag on this bottle, I am a bit disappointed - its a nice beer but no WOW-experience.

from erzbierschof.ch - slightly hazy brown beer with a little long lasting beige foam; very earthy and hoppy aroma with notes of apples and caramel; full-bodied and with a moderate carbonated; creamy mouthfeel and fairly bitter; long aftertaste of bitter almonds, earth, caramel and apples

75 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Color is dark brown with thick beige lasting head. Aroma’s of caramel, brown sugar, red fruit, some alcohol. Flavor is sweet & fruity. Strong alcohol feel, warms the throat & tongue. Medium bodied. Interestingly there’s some ash & peat in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear and dark copper beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, sweetness, fruit and yeast. The flavor follows the nose with additional alcohol. The palate is sweetness with alcohol. Overall a beer just below average.
