3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at What’s Brewing. A black one, topped by a small, dense, brown head. The aroma has alcohol, peat, smoke notes, coffee, chocolate hints and some brown sugar. It’s full-bodied and warming on the palate, very soft. Roasted malts, brown sugar, chocolate and coffee, as well as some ashtray towards the lasing finish. Way too hot this one, but it’s still a quite lovely beer. 141031
