33cl from BierNavigatie. Dark brown / black with almost no head. Full body with almost no carbonation. Sweet with spicy tones. Coffee, chocolate, more coffee, brown sugar, some caramel, spices, dark fruits and wood. An amazing full flavoured dark brew.

Pours a pitch black beer with a small fast desolving brown head. Smells peated, alcohol, paint. Tastes peated, chocolate and roasted. Thick body, low carbo and a sticky texture. Not really tatsting the 15%.

Bottled. Pours black with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, peat, wood, coffee, chocolate malt, and whisky. Sweet flavor that end up more dry and with some alcohol. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carb. An great impy.

Opaque dark brown - black beer, tiny dark tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Very mild carbonation. Smooth dark malts with a touch of tangy coffee and mild dark fruits. TCP is smooth and kicks in at the back end and fortunately doesn’t dominate completely. Pretty easy drinking all things considered!

Beer 1000 on here Might as well do something unique 330 ML bottle Pours murky ruby black, settled jet black with just hints of ruby. A bit of ringed lacing and come I think gurgles but otherwise no head at all. Lots of viscosity. A little thin but a dark, oily substance is left. Burnt rubber, burnt grain, char, and burnt licorice at first but changes to the barrel character very quickly. Lots of smoke, peat, wood and iodine. Yep, it’s an Islay scotch. Taste is caramel, chocolate, rubber , char, and roasted malt but again the barrel character quickly moves in for the kill. Char, oak, smoke and cigarette ash in the finish. Sweet at first and exceptionally ashy in the back. Think I am drinking a cigar. Low or no carbonation. Sweet, slick and oily. Hides the ABV reasonably well. Numbs the gums in a big way though. In the end I feel like I have licked an ashtray. I think that means this is a slow sipper. Works well in some ways and in some ways not.

> Another flat, thin, acidic mess with formaldehyde style smoke

[ Bottle ][ bytemesis ][ 330mL ][ Woodhsop 8 Snifter ][ Trade ][ 2/5/14 ]
>> Pours a clear black ruby with no foam, flat. Nose is some of the formaldehyde style unpleasant ’peat’ without the enjoyable smoke. Taste is thin, acidic, over oaked, ashy/soil, big lemon. Almost identical to the Sodom & Gomorra BA I just had. Wife passed it back to me after two sips :( Finish is thin, tart, dry, overoaked, acidic.

Dark, oily black colour. Complex and full body. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts, smoke and some sweetness. Whisky flavor! Very good, but this is a sipper.

330 ml bottle. Bottled on Sep 7th 2012. Courtesy of tiong.
Black colour with a tiny frothy brown head. Very dark aroma with red wine, peat and whiskey without the sweetness it usually gives to the barrel aged beers. Peat, roasted malt and mild alcohol in the flavour. Quite smooth to be 15.2%. Warms a lot.
