Tap at CBC shared with Beerbiker and evil stepdad. Black look with a small brown head. Peated smoke aroma, alchohol and caramel. Nice peat flavor, salty soy, alchohol bitterness little too strong for the body

Draft at CBC. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is major peat, hard to get anything else through that. Flavour is smokey, peat, whiskey, burnt malt, some coffee and some fruit. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

phredrik (1010) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 17, 2012
Tap @ CBC. Inky black pour, small rim of head. Aroma is a good mix of chocolatey malts and roasted imperial stout notes and then the barrel’s smoked whisky qualities. Peat, tar, black malts, chocolate, caramel, sweet liquorice - all mixed up in great balance. The taste has a lot of barrel impact - peat, sea salt, whisky notes, but the base beer also comes through with a huge malt body - sweet chocolate brownie, roasted malts and a bit of roasted astringent sourness in the finish. Far better than the Hemel & Aarde Caol Ila BA.

[5/11/12] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black with a brown foam. Aroma full of whiskey, wood and burnt notes. Strong flavor of whiskey, burnt malt, some coffee, alcohol and a dry finish. Full-bodied. Too whiskey-ish for me.
