Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a hazy and amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt and hops with herbs and nettles. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.

330ml bottle bought at Ølbutikken. Creamy white head. Hazy, copper coloured body. Spotty lacing. Smooth aroma of dry fruity hops along with grainy malts. Taste of coffee together with hints of dried fruits. Genuine dry hop bitter ending. Soft and easy to drink (hotel room, Copenhagen 05.11.2011).

Draft @ DeMolen on November 17th visit. Holy hell, I could have sworn this beer had hot pepper type of jalapeño in it, that it until they told me it was the Op & Top beer with an added 40kgs of coffee.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Roasted coffee with a nicely balanced bitterness. Coffee, coffee and coffee is the aroma I get from this beer, but I like coffee and I like this beer.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Solo hungover tasting in my hotel room! Hazy gold - amber beer. Residual white head. Light dry palate. Pale malt with coffee. The coffee is a little roasty and very slightly smoky. The pale malt is quite strong. Trace of orange hop. Finishes semi dry and crispy. A different take on the Pale Ale Coffee style by the use of an aggressive coffee addition.

I feel that this roasty taste is something they wished to do... A special effect after reading and a spicy taste at smell.

Thanks to bierkoning for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass fine turbid, small head. Starts quite dry, fine hoppy, some lemon hints, some grapefruit. Finish still dry, modest bitter. Not bad.

On tap. Cloudy light orange-amber with a small white head. Aroma has some sweetness but is dominated by hops: grapefruit, apricot, citrus, maybe some herbs. When it comes to taste it’s quite bitter, almost sour, with a very abrupt finish. Not very complex. Body is very light with noticeable fizzy carbonation.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 8 Oct 2011) Hazy amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Herbal, fruity nose with notes of stinging nettles, unroasted coffee beans, hay and ensilage (fermented grass). Malty, herbal taste with grainy malt, coffee, citrus and a generous bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body. Interesting and quite weird, at first I thought it was spiced with nettles but after a while I realised it was coffee. Quite nice though.
