3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2015 amber, minimal head, bitter on the end, medium sweetness, lively carbonation, bitter finish, quite oily.
Very fresh with a subtle aroma (nuts ?), a bit salty. Nice sparkling, but it quickly fades to a long and light bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of caramel, sweet malts, light tropical fruit and a bit of rubber. Flavors carry same with some additional orange notes and pine for a light bitter finish. Big and chewy. Nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A good IPA with a lot of fruity citrus flavour. Pours a cloudy bright orange and gold with a huge marshmellow head tinged off yellow. The aroma is citrus with estery notes and big floral hop notes. A bit bready up front with a bland malt. The citrus and bergamot comes in heavy and towards the finish with an overall zesty flavour. The finish is bitter and heavily astringent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy amber with white head. Classic IPA aromas and tastes of pine, citrus, hops, malt, caramel. Couldnít really figure out what the bergamot adds to the brew, but very tasty all the same.

Bottle, shared with Dave. Hazy red-orange, lively off white head. Malty caramel with cooked peaches and an Earl Greyish quality, tea-like dryness in the finish. Interesting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle.
Pours dark amber color with a large white head. Sweet tropical fruits on the nose, caramel and malts with piney notes and resin also. Sweet caramel-y and fruity flavor, almost a DIPA like sweetness to it, not that bitter though. Carbonation is fairly low too. A tad too sweet and juicy IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, 330ml from The Real Ale Store, Newark, Notts. Clouded amber with white head. There is a perfumed nose to this, a sweet orange, which follows on into the flavour, which I presume is the Bergamot contribution. Itís not overpowering, more a subtle tangy orange note in an otherwise quite citric IPA, sweet grapefruit flesh with lemon bite. Very enjoyable.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle to snifter
Tropical fruit, grapefruit, spruce, caramel, flowers, and some dark rum in the back. Translucent amber with a mostly creamy 1/2 cm off white head with great retention. Lots of even lacing with a persistent ring at the top. Taste is mostly tropical fruit, somewhat leaning toward over ripeness, and brown sugar. Thereís some bitterness but that is balanced by the sweetness. Some late grass notes and bitterness. Thereís a hint of bergamot, but being a big tea drinker, I was expecting a bergamot oil aroma and flavour, but Iím betting that this is just the orange, which makes sense with an IPA.
Doing a bit of research, I found that in Turkey, they make bergamot marmalade. Now that sounds amazing. Itís also a key ingredient of Turkish delight, of which I can see. This was not what I was expecting, but still a very cool beer.
