Bottle... This beer rocks!… Coal black ale with a mid-sized, cappuccino head that hangs around seemingly forever. The fantastic nose offers vanilla, fudge, bourbon and coconut. Full-bodied with soft, airy carbonation. The hearty flavor is of Cuban mocha - acrid smoke, acidic espresso and a hint of cardboard. Maybe a tad oxidized. Acrid, acidic, mildly boozy finish. Bottle of world class ale courtesy of Plovmand!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Olbutikken, Copenhagen. Deep dark brown/black satanic pour with a thin tan head. No messing from the get go here. Hefty nose of dark chocolate, rubber, barrel, coffee and booze. Flavour was devilishly good (sorry); and had plenty of the above qualities in addition to big roasty notes, dark fruit and some whisky lurking in the shadows. Full, rich and complex with adeptly smothered alcohol. Nothing short of a Revelation (13:18)..................

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and lemony fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roated malt and alcohol, as well as medium notes of wood, and chocolate, leading to a very dry, roasted, bitter, and alcoholic finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
