Bottle #938. All black with a small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma has lots of oak. Lots of vanilla, light red wine, some tannins, roasted, light liqourice. Low carbonation, lovely elegant oily and lovely mouthfeel. Flavour is very elegant and balanced. Lots of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, dryness, light viniousness, mildly roasted, a hint of plums. Tannins. Long, lingering oaky dryness with a hint of fruity hops. Lots of dark chocolate in oak. Wonderful!

Small nice bottle - stamped as nr 181. One of the few bottles that are not called "something & something" that tends to be De Molens trade mark. Im for sure a fan of aging beers in red wine barrels. The pour is black as promised with a firm good looking medium brown head with a frothy attitude. It stays there. Real good looking beer. The nose is really nice. Its perfectly balanced between the bitter and sweet notes from the roasted malts, some cacao and the sour woodyness from the barrels. The taste is somehow different. It differs between a profound sweetness and a sourness from where you can sense the red wine. The finish is long and sweet and is where the alcohol touch is reporting it selves. The vanilla sweetness ios clear but not over whelming. Medium palate with a creamy feeling. Nice one.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Chocolate, light roast, brown sugar, some liqourice and coffee. in the aroma. Flavour is roasted sweet, full of chocolate and sugar. Quite smooth and easy to drink . Medium to full bodied. Ends on a chocolatey and roasty bitterness. Very nice indeed.

Bottle from Ølbutikken. Black body, beige head. Complex vinous and roasted malts aroma. Chocolate nose and alcohol as well. Plums and chocolate flavours, light roast in the background, marcipan and vanilla. Surprisingly well carbonated for its kind. A fluid confectionary.

Bottle 18cl. @ ChrisOs Pre-GBBF Shindig 2010.

[ Raise The Roof Tasting ]. Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, dark roasted, strong coffee, dusty coffee, bourbon, moderate hoppy. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Dark brown colour, thin tan head. Some whisky type impy stout aromas. Really quite some whisky which in fact turned out to be bourbon. Good though. Good finishing beer. I really was getting very tired by this point.
